Getting ready to Join the Club. Have a quote on an '04

After driving many cars in the same class as the TL, I have decided to purchase one.
This car blew away the Infiniti G35.

I have been quoted a price of 32,309.00 +TT&L for a 2004 without the Navigation system.
How does this compare to what you guys have paid?

Thanks
Dean

Way too much for a 2004 without Navi. That price would be ok if the car had a Navi. Don't give them anymore than 30K for the car. YOu should be able to get a 2005 for close to the price you were quoted.

Yup--that price isn't very good at all... the car will be 1 year old in <2 months. Especially, when I hear folks walking with 05+NAVI for $34,400.

Way too high

You should be able to do much better than that. Back in April I was quoted $31,300 without Nav. I decided to go with Nav, though. I would Imagine that for a car sitting on the lot (no tradees with other dealers) you should get close to $30,500. Maybe a little less. I'm in New York, so factor in regional differences.

You can get an 05 with navi for that price. Here's my quote for an 05 model:

Price is too high. I got my '04 TL w/out Navi in mid Sept. for $31,800 (this price included the $545 destination charge) + TTL. If you have not done so, I would check Edmunds.com and look at their TMV price, which is supposed to show what people in your area have been paying for the cars. You can also check Kelley Blue Book for a "New Car Blue Book" value.

Thanks

$32,309 was the price quote I got over the phone before any negotiating
Now I know an approximate price to shoot for.

Thanks Again

My experience has been that Edmunds "TMV" is not very acurate. Usually too high. I sometimes wonder if dealers are entering higher numbers to skew the results in their favor. But that sounds too conspiratorial.
