Getting a gift from Acura
Hey guys, having reading a few of these threads: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/another-gift-acura-724561/
I finally thought to myself that it is not really fair for some people to receive gifts and some don't. I have already purchased 3 Acura vehicles within the last 10 years and didn't received anything from corporate. So I took a chance and went to the Acura site and submit a comment or more like a dissatisfaction letter telling that I never received any gifts in the mail. Well, apparantly they do care because a month or so after my submission, I received a box from Acura today containing the 2 silver mugs.

Nice! They are definitely some sweet mugs. Now Acura is going to wonder why the hell they are all the sudden getting 500 requests for free mugs. Hopefully everyone else can get down on this too.

I purchased my TL in December '08, and just a week ago, they emailed a promotion for half price off the second night at any W hotel nationwide, free upgrade to any room of choice, and use of a 7-passenger 2009 RDX for the duration of the trip. Me and the wife are planning our first anniversary around this promo...lol

I didn't think I would've gotten anything. I just send them a comment just to see if they were going to respond. I think I even told them to call me if they needed to contact me. So give it a try, I think anyone who buys an acura are entitled to get something from them.

do we know if the mugs are paid for by Acura corporate, or if they are paid for by the local dealer? Everyone I've talked to who has purchased from my dealer has received mugs. the mugs all come from the same address, but I wonder if the dealers are the ones who must initiate it.
btw - don't everyone complain or they may just cancel the whole gift program.

i just submitted to see what happens...
i have owned 4 Acuras (2 bought used and 2 brand new) and to be honest the after purchase experience really sucks... i never got a follow-up call to see how the car is doing or received any gifts...
i bought a used Lexus this past Feb... 2 months after i purchased, the dealer called me to check on how things were, and a week later i got a gift in the mail... keychains, and a coupon for a family portrait at a local photographer... it took me by surprise because i was never used to receiving gifts...
but it makes sense... it give the customer a sense of appreciation for their purchase. Acura should be a bit more consistent with this if they want to win more customers, and especially if they are supposed to be 'entry-level luxury' brands.

More proof that Acura owners are a special breed:
Acura is continuing its partnership as the "Preferred Vehicle of W® Hotels" through March 2010. In celebration, Acura and W Hotels are providing Acura owners an exclusive offer, the "Advance Package."
All current Acura owners can receive 50% off each second night stay at any W Hotel in the U.S. or Canada, plus a complimentary upgrade, if available.
As a guest at the W, you may continue to enjoy the complimentary "Acura Experience" driving service and arrive at your destination in a seven-passenger Acura MDX simply by making a reservation with the concierge.
To book your hotel stay with the "Advance Package" offer, visit www.whotels.com/advance or call 1.877.822.0000 and mention the booking code MDX. For more information about W Hotels, please visit www.whotels.com

See how we are all 'free' gift whores here I'm going to assume that Acura is coming up with a NEW gift.
Maybe a personalized flaming bag of poo!
I mean really .. you all want a mug? Don't you all have enough of them already?
