As stated I only have the switch harness and fog harness.
Did your harnesses have that paste-like-substance in some of the connectors as well? I find this odd... I have no clue what it is and what it is for.

I want to say that this thread is very imformative. I tried to do the install last weekend but could not get the cut of the housing to actually match the side of the opening of the bumper, therefore I saw gaps that will show. I noticed for those who may want to attemp this mod is that if you have a A-Spec lip it will cover some of the gap.
I may try this again at another time but one becomes frustraded working on one side for close to 4 hours so I put the bumper back on...my other option will be to place the lights behind the grill (providing there is enough room with the cold air intake) and not use the housings, therefore not cutting the grills....if I do I will post some pics...but this mod is hard and I thought putting a short shifter on was hard....

anyone know how fog light fitment is with the aem v2 or similar intakes? i cut out the insert just behind the lower grille so air flows directly to the filter and u can even see the filter... it looks pretty close but maybe im wrong. i also hope i didnt cut out too much of the section where the fog will need to mount or ill have to order a new piece.
here is a picture of what im talking about:

OMG thanks for the post, I will be in the same boat, I did the cut on the opposite side when I tried the install last week and never gave it a thought...I was hoping to place the lights w/out the plastic housing back there but I guess that is not an alternative....thanks ahead

ok...for peace of mind I tried unplugging the stock fog bulb and t-tapped color to color and black to black wire to make sure you can splice in and just use the stock fog switch. It works like a charm. Eventually I plan on cutting the wire to the stock fog and using those for daytime DRL only.
Anyone give me guidance on removing the bottom valence thing? I tried prying it but it didn't budge...is there a screw?
Also has anyone tried using the L for the R side and vice versa? It seems the accord bezels upside down fit the stock shape of the TL opening very well!

its held by six clips that run the top and bottom edge of the grill itself. you just need a small flathead and pry from behind the grill inserts along its edge (you will see the parts that latch onto the bumper). no screws, no special clamps. the grills themselves just have six clip-like extensions that latch onto the bumper.

yes, you can unclip it with the bumper on. since there is a gaping hole behind the bumper, you can reach under it and pry the clip parts from behind.
you will need to move the A-spec lip slightly out of the way (see pic below) to gain access to the lower clips along the detachable grill. i marked where the clips insert into the bumper.

as you can see, you do not have to completely remove the lip. it was still being held on by the double stick tape that was used to install it.

I cant say its a full DIY as some here because I couldnt remember the exact details. Plus a friend of mine did the majority of the install. But I thought Id share the process as I am sure there are some that would rather keep the bumper and lip on the car.
thanks for looking![Smile](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Nicely done on the writeup. I'm pretty sure that after I get my butt in gear and install my Progress RSB and J-Pipe I'll be starting to work on this mod. I've been wanting to do it for awhile and now it seems like I have the time again!

Thank you all for responses...looking forward to some measurements being taken and more pics...
I'm guessing taking the bumper off does make this an easier task? No? Popping everything off (I need to realign my aspec lip too, it's been a little "off" from day one) and working on just the bumper in the garage!

i personally think the bumper being removed doesnt make it any easier, just a lot more work. we were able to realign my aspec lip with the bumper on, so i dont think you want to exert the extra work taking everything off.

Looking forward to tackling this too! I have all the tools I need, just want to take my time so it doesn't LOOK like it was hacked and installed.
do most of you that did it take the bumper off, or do it with it on and the lip out of the way?

you need to move the A-spec off just enough to gain access to the lower tabs that hold the grill on the bumper.
