Question Full Type-S steering wheel shifting paddles work in non-Type-S?

I need to replace the steering wheel (broke, the POS) in my '07, and am wondering if the shifter paddles on the Type-S steering wheel would work if a full Type-S steering wheel were installed into a non-Type-S TL. I'm wondering if the wire harness etc. is the same between them and if it's simply a plug-and-play replacement.

Anyone tried this or know if it'd work?

Looks like fun

I've never broken a steering wheel in my life... How'd that happen, if I may ask?

There's a piece of plastic between the "strut" that comes from the wheel, and the base of the steering wheel, that cracked:

I grab the steering wheel when entering, and one day it just broke.

Unfortunately everyone on that thread modded a non-Type-S wheel, and didn't just plug in a Type-S one. Waaaaaay to much tearing apart just to get paddles. I'm too lazy. I'll just live with using the shifter.

Paddles that turn with the wheel are so annoying. Makes you want a lever. Type S has nice paddles though.
