Fuel Door pic request
Can someone please post a pic of the inside of the fuel door? Specifically the part furthest from the car when opened. Bought the little spring(looks more like a bent tab) because my fuel door won't pop open, and can't figure out how to fit that thing back in there. When you press the fuel door open button, there's a little rubber tab that pops in and out. It's the piece on the fuel door that's supposed to click onto that. much appreciated

Not too sure the OP can use these pics. He needs a close up the tab that springs the door open when you pull the door release. It's the hinge part of the door he needs a close-up of. Some nice pics though.

Awesome thats exactly what I needed. I was wrong it doesn't go on the part furthest from the car, its that little springy thing that goes on the door right where the hinge is. I was asking for close ups of the wrong part but I still saw it in those super clear pics. the $1 part just slips right on there and acura wanted to charge $25 to fix it. Once I did it I realized those guys sure know how to make a quick buck.

you know the one thing that really annoys me about this car is the the gas cap just hangs when removed, I liked that my prelude had a little bracket to hold the cap on the inside of the fuel door so it wasnt dangling against my paint!

he probably didn't even look for it since he was looking for a notch that would hold the whole cap.
nicely done...I once took that little springy thing off to bend it and give it more tension and was like UH OH...I closed it by accident and couldn't get it to pop open. a lot more complex than it looks, but very simple in design. Now my door pops all the way open!

The other way the guy is jamming the cap into the metal pop up mechanism isn't the right way...that may eventually bend that thing and door won't pop open as hard.
Hanging on that little thingy is the right way.
Funny enough...when I came from my RSX which had the notch to place the cap on the door, it did take me a minute to stare at this set up and to think, they HAD to have put something to use so it wouldn't dangle down..
