Front seat bottom covers

I know this topic has been beat to death on various threads, but the '07 TL I just got is for my teenage sons and I'm not going to put hundreds of dollars into re-upholstering the seats. What I'm looking for is if anyone has had success with front seat bottom covers that they think fit and look good. I bought some Igee covers on Amazon for another TL I briefly had and they looked pretty good for $150 (although I never used anything but the bottoms since I didn't like the map storage part on the uppers and let the guy I sold it to deal with them instead). Igee won't sell just bottom covers. I gotta believe there are some good fitting bottom covers out there that don't look too bad. I'm looking for black. Please share links when possible. Thanks in advance!!

Found a seller on Amazon who sounds like they're willing to customize a cover for this. I'm going to go measure with a tape, but was wondering if anyone happened to have the detailed dimensions from a bottom cover set they already purchased (like the ones from endless RPM, leatherseats.com, etc.)? I've tried searching the web, but haven't found dimensions listed anywhere.

Or if you're looking for more of an OEM look, here is another option:

I'm looking for something inexpensive that doesn't look like garbage. I'm hoping the Amazon seller I'm corresponding with can do something custom that will fit our seats well. Will keep everyone posted. Thx!!

Check local wrecking yards for better seats. Took me a while but I found some really good ones at a local yard. Paid $300 for both front seats and the rear lower cushion for the back seat. Made a huge improvement in how my car looked inside.

If I could find a deal like that, I might actually consider violating my original rule!!

I've sent measurements to the Amazon seller and will let everyone know what he comes back with...

Well, a few days back I received a seat bottom cover from the Amazon vendor who offered to customize one to fit my TL. I have to say I'm thrilled. For a whopping $19.99 plus tax and free shipping from China, I got a seat bottom cover that doesn't look like rubbish (IMHO) and definitely looks 1000x better than the ghetto looking torn seat it covers. I've attached some photos, but be advised that it actually looks much better in person and more closely resembles the pictures in the Amazon listing.

A few notes and observations:

1. I don't think I've got the wherewithal or desire to try and get the strap that's supposed to go under the sides clipped together (Step 2 in the instructions).
2. The clips are all plastic but the package included some replacements.
3. I have no idea how well they will hold up, but for $20 I really don't care.
4. Haven't seen the other colors in person, but I'm guessing that black might be the best color match.
5. The front pocket it provides is really handy for storing your phone and/or wallet.
6. I've had 3 people ride in the passenger seat since I installed it. Once we were driving, I asked them how it felt. Every one of them said, "I didn't realize I was sitting on a seat cover," and, "It feels great!"

So here are a couple of things I was thinking to ask him about adjusting and would appreciate some feedback:

1. Making the length from front to back just a hair longer so the rear seam can be tucked in a little further. Just don't want it too long or it might bulge when not being sat on or too long to keep it tight.
2. Making the sides long enough so you could actually tuck them into the plastic frame around the base of the seat. This would completely remove the need to try and clip together the strap in Step 2 of instructions.

Any other suggestions are welcome. Once I get the measurements and design finalized, I'll ask him for instructions on how anyone else can best order these covers for your TL.

Actually, just noticed from reading the instructions again that Step 2 says to clip that strap around the back of the seat, not under it. Not sure if it's even possible, but I'll give it a shot tomorrow and report back.

Yes, that's the one. Also received this graphic that better illustrates how the strap in Step 2 is supposed to be attached:

Thx, but beware that I'm working to get these sized for the non TL-S vehicles. My understanding is the seats in the TL-S are different...
