Front License plate mount/holder
I bought my '06 TL used...just registered car in Ohio and now need to put on a front plate (hate it...looks ugly). I don't have the holster/mount/whatever you call it for the actual plate for the front. Is there a cheap place I can get one?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I had to do the same thing. I bought mine from Acura of Columbus in Dublin for $14. Pretty simple, attaches easily to the two holes (covered with painted plastic grommets about the size of a quarter). I think that you also have to buy the two fasteners to attached the mounting bracket to the bumper as well. Word of caution, if you live near the Dublin area, don't try not running a front tag; the local police will definitely pull you over.

Color Matched License Plate Mount?
Does anyone know if you can get a license plate mount in a color other than black? I live in CA and you're required to have a front plate... but I think it would look a lot better if the mount was color matched to the car.

Has anyone painted their license plate mount?
Thanks! Glad to join the AZ community!
Well that's a bummer they only come in black. Has anyone experimented with painting? Color matching would be hard with a rattle can... but maybe if you knew someone at a body shop, etc.

Scopttll31, did you end up painting your license plate mount? i just got a fix it ticket last night in california but hate how the black mount looks now. i was thinking about just getting some kind of white for my WDP and hopefully that looks better than the black.

Just get an OEM mount from Acura. I personally would leave it black I think color matching it would make the entire plate and bracket stand out too much and thats the last thing you want is all the attention of the front of your car going to the license plate. Dont do the offcenter mounting either nothing looks worse or more awkward than that. As mentioned they are pretty cheap like 15 bucks or something.

I was making a recommendation whats the problem? I understand the OEM bracket looks terrible no one said it looks good, but it sure as hell looks better than a license plate mounted under your headlight lol. So my recommendation is if you have to have a front plate the cleanest, least obtrusive way is by using the OEM bracket mounted where its designed to go. Just my

I actually don't mind the off center plate but to each his own I guess. Luckily my state doesn't require a front plate.

Best Alternative to OEM: http://www.ninosport.com/Altec-Retra...00U-p/400u.htm
Promo Code: MustangMafia for 5% off ($3, big whoop haha)
It's very sleek and minimal, won't stick out on your car, and you can fold it away when you're not driving or when you're taking pictures. I love mine.

painted license plate frame/mount
i just painted my OEM black license plate frame/mount white so it doesn't stick out so much against the WDP. at first I just did the gloss white but it was a very bright white, so I covered it with a gloss paint and it came out much less "white" but it makes it blend in better with the WDP.
i think it's definitely better than the eye sore black against WDP in the front
(I would rather go no plate but got pulled over in downtown SD after 3 years and got a fix it ticket). not a perfect match but i like it!
