Dear Mr. ...,
There is a program that went into effect the end of 2008 that does send a gift to a new Acura Owner. Anyone that purchased an Acura after a specific date could have received a mug/tumbler. If you purchased an Acura prior to the program going into effect, then you would not have received a gift.
Unfortunately, with current economic conditions, the gift program has been discontinued. In the past some dealerships would give owners a small gift such as a pen, keychain or even a gift card, but that decision was specific to each franchised dealership.
We understand your current feelings and thank you for being an Acura customer, because every customer is a valued and appreciated customer.

I bought my 08 TL-S in January 2009, and received my free mug today.
They sent me free T-shirt when I bought my 99 CL, $100 off on anything from the parts department when I bought my 03 RSX. These are nice little gifts and I appreciate their gesture, but I wouldn't whine like a little bitch if I didn't get anything. Each time I bought a great car, and that's enough for me.

So I emailed the vin and address and got the pen..

They're not giving out anymore gifts. This is an email I got from them today......
