fogged up headlamp

fogged up headlamp
so, I was in an accident back in July (my front bumper and driver side headlamp was replaced). Then today, I took my car for a wash and noticed my headlamp fogged up. I'm taking the car back to the body shop since they have life time warranty on their work.
So, what would be the reason for the headlamp to get fogged up? Don't they come in one piece (so no way someone have opened it up)?? You think the bodyshop bought the headlamp from some cheap-o third party vendor who sells the parts hella cheap???

could have had a bad seal from the factory or most likely one of the boots/bulbs is not seated properly.
unfortunately for you, their warranty will probably consist of them drying the headlamp out and giving it back. you wont know until the enst time you wash if there is a leak.

Body shops 90% of the time get there parts for an aftermarket source. LOTS
of the time they get them from an aftermarket source and charge the insurance
for a OEM product to make money. I work at a big body shop and thats how
things work around here
