Floor mat question

Is the driver side front mat supposed to go over the gas petal? I just put my mats in and a little baffled.. The mat goes 3 (+- 1) inch on top of the gas petal.

No. Are they stock mats?. There should be mounting hooks on the floor by the front of your seat.

The carpets should definitely mount by the seats; however, don't you just have to slide that part under the accelerator?

Problem is that the gas pedal secures to the floor.

@GIXXERDK - dunno what to say. Here is my 2008; both the all weather and the stock (under them) go right up to the petal, but neither one covers it.

GIXXERDK: the fit of your mats definitely is off. The driver's side also seems too narrow, and the gas lid release cut-out is off.
Check the part number-- maybe you got the mats for the TSX, RDX or something other than the TL.

@GIXXERDK - what year is your TL by the way? My stock mats actually have the letters, "TL" embroidered in them whereas the one in your pic has the word, "Acura" which might mean it's indeed for another vehicle.
