Floor Mat Question

For those that have the "all-weather" floor mats: do you use them all year or do you use the carpet mats in the summer and the all-weather mats in the winter? Just curious.

Those all weather mats are too ugly for me. I just keep the carpeted ones clean.

I have the WDP/parchment, and am very happy to keep my black all weather mats in year around, even though I am in Florida, so no snow, no mud, and not much rain.

It is not so much a matter of keeping the carpeted ones clean as how they look after only a couple of months use.

As with all of these matters, the words "PERSONAL PREFERENCE" explain a lot.

I couldn't stand to see the nice Acura mats get dirty, so the all-season mats are there all-the-time...

My brother has the all season mats over the carpeted ones. My sis just has the carpeted ones. All three of us have 04 TL's. We've been a Honda Family for a long time.

All the time, no-one ever says a word that they are black (parchment interior) and they are always clean. Stock ones are packed away for good.

You obviously don't have kids...
Your attitude regarding ugly mats will depart when you do (I hope - or your kids won't have any fun )
Kids often have muddy or dirty feet... :P
My all seasons are there permanently.
I took the carpeted ones out.
Maybe I'll put em back some day when the kids are grown and gone... :'(

I just got a set and put them in. They match the ebony interior just fine. I hope the rubber does not smell. I think they will stay in. After 2 days (yup brand new TL), I already have grass and dirt on the mats.

Ditto. I have never liked carpeted mats. They just get dirty in a hurry. All weather mats look great with my ebony interior.

My interior is Ebony so I don't mind the way they look. I put them over the carpeted mats and keep them there all the time.

I ride horses and you sure don't want what's on the bottom of your boots on your carpeted mats!

All-weather too ugly for me as well. Plan to use black Berber ones from AutoAnything.com for winter. In the meantime, use the carpeted ones for their intended purpose. Not doing so reminds me of the behavior of my parent's scarred-by-the-Depression generation whereby they "save" things by not using them (and cover the seats in clear plastic).

I'v had them in since day 1. One day when it stays sunny I probably will take them out. Not too likely with our weather in the North East.

I agree - I just shipped back the Weather Tech ones today - the color was much darker than the website indicated, and they smelled like a old condom.

I suggest Berber as a good compromise - it is tough, does not show dirt as easily as the lighter colors, but look classy.

www.autosportcatalog.com $119 for front/rear - they come in tan and other colors.

I have the Quartz Interior and am using the carpeted mats that came with the car. Looks better than the all-season black mats IMHO.

This is clearly more of an issue for cars with the lighter interiors.
