flaked paint!

When I went to hand wash my new '04 TL, I noticed 2 small areas on the bottom plastic trim below the front passenger door. My car is Satin Silver Metallic. Luckily it's just exposed plastic, but disappointing on a $30k+ car. One area is about the size of a dime, the other is about 1/8 of an inch. This area of the car is supposed to have chip-resistant paint right? The locations don't appear to have been from kicked up debris from the wheels. I also have the mud guards installed as well.

I've got an appointment this week with the dealer to have this repainted. They mentioned it will be covered under warranty.

Anybody else have any paint related defects, or am I just lucky?

I have a really small bubble on my bumper, but I am not going to have it fixed unless it beings to chip away

I have a nick on the edge of the rear bumper and a scratch in the lower body moulding. I'll prbably try to touch up the bumper once I get some touchup but I'm not going to make an issue of it - the only way to really fix it would be to repaint the bumper and it's just not worth the trouble.
