Sure I'm spoiled but you do as well as me academically and obey your parents, you get rewarded.

Alot of kids my age don't listen and think they're their own boss, they're not. I know where I stand and my dad likes rewarding me. I'm a good kid.
I am 23 and buying my own 2007 TL type S

Newbie - 1st post

!st post so bear with me. I'm currently luvin my '0f NBP TL A-spec, totaly stock. Its my first Acura after trading in my '01 Maxima. By far the best car I have owned so far. Unfortunatly winter is coming and I'll be putting on the black steel rims and winter skins but its a small price to pay to keep it between the lines. I am a member of the RCMP in NS, Canada so I'd rather not be one of my own statistics. I'm luv'n most of the new '07 TL-S but Atalntic Acura would have to give me a wicked deal in order to convince me to trade in. The modest horsepower increase and minor cosmetic tweaks just don't have the weight to sway me. This is a great site by the way and I love all the information I get out of it. As for the BS posts above with the rich kids.....they are the ones I usualy find in the ditch after f'kin up the car daddy bought them as they have no concept of responsibility. Enjoying the forum and the posts. Take care and be safe folks.

I really don't want to jump into the arguments here, but damn that was awesome.

As for the new TL-S, my dealership just got a carbon bronze one. That color is just beautiful in the sun.

Morons...
Your daddy's are mighty proud of both you I'm sure.

Instead of focusing on learning the family business to continue your own affluence, you two chuckleheads want to bicker over who's daddy makes more than the other, and which one of you can spend it faster.

You two are the Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie of Acurazine... except you're fatter...

Thanks.
What's wrong with this thread? We have people fighting about ethnicity and the usual comments because someone under the age of 60 let their parents buy them a car. This is so normal for this forum that it is almost hard to find fault with it.

And once in a while there is an on-topic post, so that is the redeeming feature here.

If we could get back on topic and quit the usual 3G antics then the thread won't need to be closed.

Sad but true...but the one thing I don't understand is the pissing contests the kiddie's always want to have over whose daddy has more money (not just this thread)...what's the point and does anyone really care? It's unfortunate that todays parents can't raise their kids properly.

kobi2002 - the car looks good. I know you're having technical difficulties, but I would love to see some more pics, particularly the exterior. Thanks, and let us know how it's going after you get some miles on it.

Nice ride to the ones who actually has it already. Really makes me want one. But since I came from a G35 with Orange lighting, I really don't want red. So I will keep mine and do mods to it from the Type-S.

The kids need to stop argueing. This is way out of hand already. And unless you bought it yourself, it is not yours so please stop bragging about it. I am glad that your parents are buying it for you. You are a lucky kid.

I went to my local dealer last Saturday to see if they had a Type-S available to drive and he thought they would get one in within a couple of weeks.

I currently have an '05 TL without mods and purchased that instead of a G35.

For comparison sake, I went and drove a '07 328XI at a neighboring dealer, and all I can say is the TL-S has a lot to live up to. I have never been a BMW guy, but having recently driven one, I can say that if I decide to get a new ride, the BMW may be the car and the price is very comparable (about $40K with the same options). And, a previous poster was right. The 335 sedan will be about $47K reasonably equipped.

Can someone explain in detail what the phonebook thingy is?
The 07 TL HFL/NAVI integrates with your Bluetooth phone's phonebook so it's not a separate list on the HFL and the phone. So you can push the call button and call numbers on your actual phone. I'm guessing in that case you're also not limited to the 50 numbers the 06 HFL will store.

Sounds cool to me! Maybe not a deal breaker, but it sure would be a nice thing to have to not have to reprogram numbers.

This is all from memory but my understanding is that the HFL will import a contact or an entire phonebook into it's memory, so it doesn't acutally access your phone's phonebook with every call and I'm sure you'll have to add contacts 1 by 1 to the car if you update your phone with a new contact.

Again, from memory, the system will support 1000 names with 6 numbers per name for a total of 6000 numbers available.

familys wealth because the other guy did trying to call me jealous......

Like I said, I drive a 1991 Honda Accord EXR to work
Very Solid car........

Back on topic please everyone.
YOU DONT HAVE TO EXPRESS YOUR OPINION ON THE MATTER

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why does Canada get screwed?
The TLS is apparently all over US dealers ready for sale, i think so anyway..

And I have to wait another month or so...

I've got bad news regarding the phone book up load. There is currently only one phone in existence which supports the feature. I can't remember the model, but I think it's through Cingular.
