Finding the right TL(3G)
It is sooo frustrating finding the elusive WDP with black interior here in MA im willing to settle for one with up to 85k miles but still its near impossible.. so far every other color has a black interior except WDP . its already hard enough to find a WDP and when i do its always that parchment interior.
Im not sure how well transfering titles between states work so i havent looked outside of MA.
Im just wondering how many of you guys had to settle for a different color and are you satisfied with your choice or still wished you had your first choice?

I wanted a RRP 04-06 TL and settled with my 04 WDP.
Ideally I wanted a KBP, but I would have to get a Type-S, and those were out of my price range.
Just keep your eyes open and don't give up

when you have enough post and membership time here you can place a wanted ad in the black market section- look there now for currently listed `Member cars for sale`
You cant see the outside of the car from inside, so exterior color is really about whats easy to keep clean~er and what gets hot in the summer
Dark interior gets hothothot

remember the TL needs a major service at 105, earlier if driven hard
thats anywhere from 800 to 1500 dollars depending on your DIY skills to do parts of it and what shop you use for the major work
Timing belt-water pump- plugs etc etc
Ck any car you like thru acura 1-800 382-2238 x5
give them VIN number and ask for prebuy history check--how many owners has it had, what part of the country, and recalls taken care of or needing to be done still
That often gives a hint of how well it was taken care of before

they dont give any info about the car except copy and pasted stock spec info-
they all come fully loaded, the only option is 6 disc cd and nav as far as I know on 06
If you can get a warranty to 100 on the trans to be safe- that would be good, they are weak
35kmiles on a trade in - expect may need tires- $150 each, brakes front probably rotors too $200-300, a bit more for top quality
cabin air filter 25$ diy, 125$ at dealer!

I bought a NBP/Taupe, and I really wanted black interiors, but afer all im happy with it, I just have to take more care of the colors because is a light color, but it gives the car a good look after all.

I would look far and wide away from your salty snowy state and anywhere near the North East region. Go south where I live or farther south. Cars never see salt roads and snow and the cars look brand new because of that and most are garage kept. Nice used cars are a dime a dozen here. Spend 200 bucks on a flight and drive it home. I would NEVER buy a car from up there. I lived in NY for most of my life and know exactly what cars are put up tpo come winter time. Good luck finding your color combo. It can be found, you just need to expand your search!

I never wanted a black car, especially one with camel interior. Guess what, that was the only car availabe to me I ended up buying it and fell in love with the color combo. You might not like the color/interior right away but if the deal is right and the miles are low, take it. The color will most likely grow on you and you'll like it Good luck!

i don't know about that alexSU, it took me 4 months on a national search to find my 07 KBP with black interior and low miles. i searched high and low, flew to NYC to look at cars, Georgia to look at cars and even Seattle washington to look at a car before i purchased. My point is, don't settle on anything, especially when you're going to spend around $25K-$30K. i was going to make sure i got what i wanted, so i waited, and found the exact car i wanted at the price i could afford. OP, be vigilant and keep looking. the car you want is out there.

The deal was just wayyy too good to pass up so I had to take it and I spent way less then $25K auction FTW!

well if you stand to save a bundle, then by all means... but i've been there before. i bought the one that would work at a great price, and then afterwards wished that i held out and bought the one i wanted. my

Its something very expensive that you will be using every day- get what you want
Out of state sales are simple, in most cases you pay a sales transfer fee to the selling state, possibly sales tax there, then register it in your state- they come out and verify VIN matches paperwork and pay new plates and reg fee- if the other state didnt tax you this one will- somebody is getting sales tax!
try a carmax search, place a wanted ad in our `member cars for sale` threads
Look at your local private honda-acura import repair shops for private sales listed there
Put the word out wherever you can, maybe in your signature here- WTB 06+ x with x and x trans

contact the manager of the Internet Sales division of your dealer- ask them to find you the combo you want
They have access to all the dealers in the country and other used car places etc- resources to make a sale~

thanks for all the input guys! i cant believe WDP doesnt have black interior until the later years... i feel like that should be a standard color for not just the TL but every car that comes out. guess i should start expanding my search some more then.

I defaulted in 2005+ and white as search criteria, but you can change those.

im a little different from u. I wanted WDP but i didnt realli want a black interior. IMO a black int. makes the inside look like one giant piece. I got a taupe and I can see parts of the car like the door handle and speakers. Basically other colors besides black give the inside contrast. Besides I kinda have a black interior since the dash board is black.
I had to go and hour away from home to find the only WDP with Navi that was an 07-08. It kinda sucks cuz i dont get the free car washes from the dealership. I mean i do but im not gonna drive an hour juss for a free car wash.
Are u sure u want WDP? They have color matching issues with the paint esp. in the bumper area. FYI
