Used some 3m squeak reduction tape and Shin-Etsu. This resolved the low freq ticking / slipping sound, but the rattle persisted going over small bumps and did fluctuate with the outside temp.

Yesterday I opened the driver door, lowered the window completely and tapped on the left upper window corner of the door with the open door. Heard the almost same rattle that I hear while driving! and this was quite loud. The rattle was from the area where the side mirror body meets the door body.

Tapped again after pressing the plastic which meets the door and the rattle was gone

Took a butter knife to slip in to that area and inserted some squeak reduction tape and cut the excess. The rattle was gone! Did the same for passenger door. Test drove and no rattles!

Drove around 20miles today and didn't hear the rattle even once. Hope it stays that way

Hmm yeah i'm not too happy with that little corner. When washing the car water gets in there and leaks out for awhile, plus you can push it in, so it seems like there is some space in there.
