A few questions from an outsider about projectors
So I just bought a pair of TL projectors. I plan on installing these on my bike, I actually don't have an Acura, I figured you guys are the experts hence why the post.
Anywho, I plan on using 55 watts HIDs. I shouldnt have any problems with the extra heat and the projectors would I? I know the TLs are 35 watts stock, and the projectors seem to be full metal construction, but I figured I'd check anyways.
I mainly came in here for a question in regards to the hi-beam switch on the projector. I see there is a little wire that's supposed to connect to a socket. This being a custom work, it's useless to me. Does anyone know what voltage the switch runs off? I assume 12 volt, but I figured I'd check before I do anything. No one would happen to know how many amps it draws by any chance. Would they?
I also measured the diameter of the projector. It's about 3". I'm thinking about doing angel eyes as well. Im sure some people have done it on here. What's popular amongst you guys as far as angel eyes go? I have the skills do make an LED one, but I think I would prefer a CCFL. Most of the kits I'm seeing are 150-200. Odd because you can buy them for a computer for less than 20 bucks. So perhaps I'm looking in the wrong places?
Thanks in advance.

The TL projectors are some of the best on the market, and a 55W HID bulb won't help you much, it'll just make more people angry at you think you have your High beams on. Stick with a good bulb like the Philips 85122+ D2S. Also you might want to consider modding it such as swapping in a ZKW lense and also polishing the inner bowl for some more light output.
As far as angel eyes, a few members have them and have had mixed results with the umnitza angel eyes.

Call me cheap. But I'm not going to spend 120 bucks on bulbs. I'll look around and see if I can find a deal.
As far as polishing the inside goes, are we just talking about using a micro fiber cloth or using some sort of chemical?

your probably going to need like a metal polish or something to get it to shine. IMO check out HIDplanet.com and take a look there at some of the TL threads, there are some simple things you can do to the projector to make it a whole lot better like the cutoff spacers and such. They should also have the info on how to use the highbeam shutter to.
