Fast 0-60 MPH 2004 TL or G35
Which one gives smoother, faster accelaration with less shifting pain, G35 or the 2004 TL ? I haven't test driven a G35.
Anyone knows 0-60MPH timings for 2004 TL and the G35 ?

They are extremely close!
The G35 is Rear Wheel Drive and I would think would get a better launch and traction, but the TL is not far behind..

I have test driven the G35 coupe and I was not impressed at all, that is the automatic version. I haven't test driven the 04 TL, so I can't compare. The G35 did handle well, but the power didn't seem to be there, like I was expecting. Very nice exhaust sound. I still don't like how the G35 sedan looks, I think is very ugly, unlike the coupe wich is very smooth looking. So from the sedan aspect, I would never buy a G35 over the 04 TL, not even the 03 type S.

After driving test them both twice, I can't imagine that the TL would stay with the G35. Bitium, maybe you get a bad G35, because my reaction was that the Inifinti accelerated very quickly and smoothly through the gears while the Acura had a sort of "turbo lag" affect before it really caught on. Maybe the TL would make up the lag later and take the 1/4 mile, but not the 0-60. Anyway, this is all one man's impression. Weren't some reliable numbers published already?

I've also test driven both cars (auto), and felt that the G35 was a tiny bit quicker, but it is very very close. Different conditions and different drivers may yield differernt results.
The G35, being RWD, does win hands down in the handling and fun to drive component.
