If anyone has been reading my old threads then they would know my current situation. That being me wanting to buy a black/black 6mt, navi or anthracite or silver TL.

I start my first true engineering job June 21 in Texas (live in Pittsburgh). I've been trying to buy this car since April and have been jerked around by every dealer. This is the car I had my heart set on and when a dealer said they could get it (black/black) I put $1000 down got it in writing and told my second dealer that I didn't want his anthracite he had since it was my second choice. So basically the first dealer took me out of the market. Now a week later my dealer calls me and says he can't get me the car. I'm so freaking pissed that i'm no longer considering this car, it isn't worth the damn trouble i'm getting from dealers.

Everyone complains about the car's idiosyncrasies and it just isn't worth the hassle of flying to Texas waiting a couple days for a silver one (which is the next color on the production line) and then having my folks ship what I can fit in the car to Texas. I know this is a rant but I just wanted to let you know how crappy of an experience I've had trying to purchase this vehicle. I hate to do it but i'm looking at the 350Z which isn't practical for me since this job requires me to travel every 6 months to a new location to learn a different asspect of the company. So I buy some shitty performance car with trunk space, or get what I've always wanted which is performance (which the TL has some of, but not large amounts, go ahead and flame though) :ar15: . Sure I might be living with 3 shirts a couple pairs of boxers, 2 pairs of jeans and the clothes on my back, but hey what the hell, Nissan isn't messing with me and the car performs better than the torque steer TL.

To everyone who has a black, anthracite, silver with ebony 6mt navi on order and getting it before June 15.....I'm jealous, and if you live around western PA and are sympathetic to my cause and want to help, let me know (see below).

Like I said, if you have this car on order and are willing to wait for the next one (silver build date June 18, black build date June 21, anthracite build date June 28) please let me know at phoen111@yahoo.com. But only if you live in PA, eastern Ohio or WV. Perhaps I could give you some cash for your order.

Otherwise, love the website but I won't be a proud owner of a TL.

sorry to hear about your shafting. Dont get the Z if your going to travel man you will hate life. When I would commute to PSU and PGH I decided to buy a mustang and boy I should have bought something nicer for the ride. Had a blast on Campus or when I was done highwaying. Im sure there is a black on black 6sp out there. Hell if you get board just put diffrent zip codes in and call them. If you find one go to another dealer there and see if thell get it. Im sure its going to cost 250.00 above your best deal. Hope you find one

rick case acura in FL always has navis. turnersville acura in NJ has them as well. i would have gone with turnersville, but the dealer in FL could deliver the car for cheaper (450) as opposed to 700-something from NJ.

they both give good deals as well.

If you are moving to Dallas, get in touch with Vandergriff. The internet salesman seems to be very helpful and he might have what your looking for. Also, you will be able to break it in properly.

check out david mcdavid here in Dallas. give Vincent Truong a call. I bought my CLS from there and have had nothing but good service. I think the lowest price for a non-navi TLS is about 31,100 and the lowest for the navi is at around 33,500 or so.

Vincent is an honest and straight shooting kinda guy. If he can get it for you, I know he will.

I traded my car in last Saturday for a 5AT NAVI Anthracite/Camel that was supposed to be on the lot. When I got there, the car they thought was Anthracite was Green??? Needless to say I have and will be driving around in a 5AT NAVI Diamond Pearl TL until my car comes in...

In Tx., you're much better off buying from dealerships in D/FW, Houston or San Antonio. In Austin, both Acura dealerships have sales staff with bad reputations for treating potential customers like sh*t. Walk into David McDavid or Sterling and you'll get nothing but attitude, not to mention the sales manager at Sterling is an incompetent jackass.

For the record, Jeffrey Acura in Roseville, Michigan sales manager James Slater is an egotistical jerk. Not willing to work with you on numbers at ALL. Jeffrey Acura is also affiliated with Tamaroff Buick etc. STAY away from Jeffrey Acura in Roseville, MI. Had a terrible experience there would not recommend them to my worst enemy. Very cocky, arrogant, and out for blood. Stay away.
