Extended Warranty after Sale

All,

I received a letter from Ed Voyle's Acura on Peachtree Ind concerning purchasing
an Extended Warranty.

I didn't buy on when I brought the car and it's been about 4 months now.

The question I have is, would the warrantly be a worth it and 2) would the warranty be thru Acura or a third-party?

Thanks in advance for the replies.

If you get a good price on the warranty it sure is worth it. You can call them and ask if the warranty is offered by Honda/Acura or somebody else. I'd only get if it is from Honda/Acura.

I've seen people buying it from $1100 - $2000 for 7yr/100K miles. Do a search and you'll get a lot of info on warranties.

When I bought my TL I did get the extended warranty,It's from Acura(I trust them more than a third party company)I was also told that if I did buy the extended warranty and never used it I would get my money back(yes I do have that in writing)So for me it was an easy choice..

As for the warranty, I was driven to go with the warranty when i purchased the car. However, I spoke with a relative who has been in the same type of extended warranty business for years only to find that I should wait at least 2 years to purchase this type of warranty. Otherwise, I was only wasting money that Acura covered in the first place. I was told to go with the 100,000 mile warranty at that time. Just my 2 cents though.
