Experiences with dealers in FLA.. (Duval in Jax, etc.)

I am currently shopping for a good deal all over the state of Florida. So far Duvall Acura in Jacksonville has quoted me the best price, but I am wondering if there is a better deal waiting.

anyone have recommendations of which dealers to contact and who to deal with? and examples of deals?

I've seen a few people post $34k out-the-door deals on various posts, and I think they may have gotten them at Duval.

Your shared information and assistance is greatly appreciated.

No experience on deals with the 04's but I loved Duval Acura. I live in Tallahassee but I preferred to buy from Duval. They were the lowest out of 4 dealers in Florida and their customer service was five stars.

Well... it's good to know ....

Good to hear they have customer service skills... another dealer I was working with tried to stick me with a salesman that was.... well...

to say he was a world class d**k is an understatement.

Full MSRP + tax/tag/title ???? You on CRACK???

Hey Type S Lady,

I live about 100 miles from Tallahasee. It or Montgomery Alabama are the closest. What about Proctor Acura in Tallahasee? I've been quoted 32,800 for a 6MT with Navi there. They ask top dollar for any accessories, to include the a-spec.

Also, do you know of tint shops or shops that install clear bra for the '04 Tl in Tallahasee?

Thanks in advance!

I can't believe Proctor Acura is beating anyone's price. They don't have the reputation of budging on prices here. I love their service department but that is about it. The best tint shop in Tally is Tint Masters on Capitol Circle Northeast his name is Derrick. (850) 942-5059 He has done 12 cars in the last 10 years in my family, all Hondas and one Infiniti. No bubbles or fading on any of them with lifetime warranty. Great guy and reasonably priced. :worship:

Got my '04 non-navi TL from Duval Acura back during the first part of January. Dealt with Barry Butler. 30,250 + dest + tag + title. Price included a trunk tray and wheel locks. No problems with them at all (didn't try to sell additional add-ons, etc). Overall a very pleasant experience. I'd recommend him.

Fountain Acura Orlando

I purchased my 2004 TL the first week they came out in October and even though I paid MSRP then from Fountain Acura in Orlando, I couldn't be more pleased with the way I was treated by their Internet salesman, Dave Bogardus. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He is fair, honest and is not your typical high pressure salesman. If you happen to contact him, tell him Steve Z referred you (white TL, non-navi, parchment interior).

I agree, I am in the process of purchasing mine from the same guy. So far, no complaints and he hasn't pushed anything that I haven't asked for.

I thought I had a pretty good deal lined up at the Acura dealership in Orlando (Courtesy). I picked out a TL, negotiated the price and told the salesman that I would call him later that day. At this point there were no commitments. After thinking about it for a few hours I called the salesman, asked if the TL was still there, and told him that I was on my way to buy it.

Five minutes away from the dealership the salesman called and informed me they had just sold the TL I was interested in. I didn’t have a deposit on the car so I understood he had no obligation to me even though I told him I was on my way to buy it.

I was so mad that I stayed on the interstate, called the dealership in Jacksonville (Acura of Orange Park) and ended up in there later that night.

It worked out for the best anyway. The Orlando dealership had several TLs while the Jacksonville dealership had 23. I ended up with the TL I really wanted (silver, black interior with NAVI).

As far as the deal went, the Orlando dealership made a little better deal but that doesn’t help when they sell your car before you return.

I found that it was a little tough to make a super deal on the TL. It’s a hot new car that’s popular and dealerships are able to hold closer to MSRP. This is evident by Edmunds (www.edmunds.com) TMV value. It seems the TL is attracting some buyers that were in the market for more expensive cars such as the BMW 530 and these buyers don’t mind paying closer to MSRP.

I should be picking my 6 speed, AM-Quartz, NAVI on the 22nd. I just reconfirmed this with my salesman today and yes it is $34,000 OTD. :smokin:

At Duval Honda in Jacksonville call David Remsen on his cell at 904-334-1481

and good luck

Fountain Acura

I also bought from David at Fountain Acura (end of March). Low pressure kind of guy and easy to work with. I paid 800 above invoice (6Spd Non-Navi) and he threw in tint and splash guards. I'd recommend him.

I also bought from David Remsen when he was at Acura of Orange Park. He's a hard worker and an easy going salesman. He'll fight hard to get the deal you want.

I had to laugh, but I couldn't buy from someone named Proctor.. just make me think of latex gloves

I had my TL serviced at Fountain Acura this past friday, had to get my tires balanced yet again. They came back from Fountain even worse than the last shop. Does no one even do a test drive ?? I got to drive from atlanta to orlando vibrating like my mom's.. well.. err.. anyway.. and then after Fountain got done, my trip back to Atlanta was even worse.

Who gave you $32,300? That's a deal for a Navi!

Dealer quotes...

It was originally $32,150 (+ttt, etc.), but the 6-sp Anthracite/Ebony Navi they have coming in mid to end June (19-23 delivery date) has HPT already spec'd for it, so I figured no point in arguing something as minor as that.

I am still waiting on another dealer who is jonzing for my deal to get back to me. He is trying to locate a 6-sp Anth/Ebony Navi and he'll match the price (minus HPT if appropriate). So I might only have to wait a week or two instead of a month.

We'll see....

I'll give all the details once my deal is in stone.

If I turn the one deal down, anyone looking to get a 6-sp Anth/Ebony Navi?? I am sure they'll hook you up to move it.

Agent47,

If you get the one sooner, please let me know which dealership is getting the one in a month or two. email is: jrp82681@aol.com; so you don't post it for the whole world to see.

Deals in FLA

If you are looking for a 6-sp Manual it will take a bit of luck....hit every dealership you are comfortable driving to for pick up or paying to ship it flat-bed (about $300).

If you want or can live with a 5-sp automatic w/ Navi, call Shelly Drucker (it is a guy) at Delray Acura (Florida) 561-265-0000 x229

He has five in stock and was looking to make deals to move then. I am a die-hard stick-shifter, so I had to pass, but the price he was quoting was less then I am paying because I had to go with HPT's to get my manual in the color I wanted. Otherwise, it would be the same price. They are on the lot ready to deliver. Out the Door around $34,7K

Act fast. He'll be on vacation next week.

He called me up today hoping I was still looking, so I thought I'd do him, and all you forum members, a favor putting you together.
