Hm...I can't say I'm feeling the taillights or that groove that goes from fender to quarterpanel. But the biggest issue I see are the rear passenger windows. The rear portion of the windows look out of wack with the pillar. They should sweep backwards a bit more so the car would look smoother and flow.

It's HERE! 2004 TL Pics from the road...

I was checking out Temple of VTEC.
And look at these pics...

http://www.vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=120262

By the way, I see side mirrors and windshield wipers, like there was ever a doubt.

It looks like no smart key or ventilated seats.

The emergency brake handle is now in the center console.

Anyone know if those cupholders close?

FYI.. I merged Catchawave's topic into this one so all of the pics were in the same place. His link actually has more pictures. Keep in mind that they were all taken by Lycos who hangs out here and on acura-tsx.com

Enjoy all!!

From what we're hearing.. manual will be an option... so it just looks like this particular car was an automatic.

Thanks, Lycos.

Awesome job. Too bad about the other pictures with the blue car.

It looks like we are not getting Brembo brakes, ventilated seats or large wheels.

The interior looks like a step in the right direction.

Yea, the brembo brakes would've been sweet. BTW, when referring to ventilated seats, do you mean you can actually cool them down at a push of a button? Or do you mean that they've just got holes punched into the leather.

They actually cool. The seats are perforated and work like an air hockey table, blowing cool air through the holes.

It is AWESOME! Go drive a Saab 9-5 or a BMW 7 series.

Actually, I sat in an '00 S500 w/ what rear seats that could be cooled or heated. However, I don't think they were ventilated, they seemed to just cool down somehow.

Looks like the TL put on some serious weight. Those wheels look way too small for the car...look at the rear wheel in the last pic. Looks like the Caddy CTS. Then look at the rear pillar. Looks like a Maxima - agreed the rear window looks funny.

I'll keep my 2002 TL-S thanks.

Is it me or does the 04 look a "tad" smaller?

I agree, the front is definitely good looking. I think it's the strongest part of the car.

Hmmm. I think I like it. I like it better than my current TL-S. But I don't know if I like it enough to not consider something else. IMHO, it's got that Pontiac affliction of design-for-design sake. There's a whole lot of cuts, angles, and shapes that don't necessarily make for a cohesive look. While the new BMW's are love them or hate them, the way the interior and exterior designs flow is incredibly sleek and well thought out. I guess the jury's still out for me.

im kinda disappointed.. the wheels look like ****ing 13s on the last pic. and the car looks exactly like the TSX with different tail lights.. and the rear fender look kinda gay imo..

but the interior is great

make a TL with the current body style and put the 2004 interior and maybe engine (depending on the specs) and id be the happiest man on earth :p

Uhmm yeah, Can't say I agree at all. I mean, they're all cars, so yeah pretty much every car steals from another..but the new TL doesn't really look like those three directly.

nice RSX...

thats what it reminds me of. the groove on the side and the door handles remind me of a BMW too. The back is ugly imo, but the interior looks damn nice!

I like it a lot. When the initial impressions are favourable, it will grow even more for me. I happen to like the A4 rear end and the TL is equally good looking. The interior is awesome. It sure beats the entire new Maxima package. Acura cannot afford to screw up the TL based on its present sales.

I must say I am a bit disappointed. I love the interior and the front of the car but other then that I'm ehh on the 04. The back looks too short, like the G35 and the back lights are gross. Why the big reverse light? That was the thing in the 90's with that big reverse light in the middle. Brakes and exhaust look nice. I'm definitely not feeling this car, but who knows, maybe it looks better in person.
