Thanks Neorick for the info. I'm currently searching for a 2005 TL and Serramonte Acura will be the closest dealership to me so I'll probably go there for service in the future.

YEah...I was skeptical at first but MARA Mueller took time to take notes and made sure all the issues have been addressed and resolved. Including the Buttprint..

Thumbs up

I purchased my 2001 CL from Acura of Serramonte and over the years have used them for all my service needs. I've never had a bad experience with them and they are very focused on Customer service. Also, they have a new Showfloor and service area.

Is there any way you can submit something to help her get a promotion, and get them better ratings. It sounds like they are very deserving of it.

I have already sent a complimentary email to the GM and Service Manager...

She told me that the Acura Survey that is mailed by the HQ is that one that really count...I am waiting for that one...

I just had Acura of Concord do some work and they did a pretty good job. But it sounds like Serramonte went above and beyond what Concord did. I may have to have them do a pass on my car.

I will keep this in mind as well, since I live in the South Bay Area.. Not too far away from me, especially for top notch service.

Well, I'm glad to hear that you had good service from them. My experience was quite the opposite with my 04TL - so bad that I purchased my 05 from another dealership and wouldn't even think of bringing my car to them. I'm using another dealer and am quite happy with the service - a refreshing change.

I am not saying that everyone go to Serramonte Acura...I had a great Service Advisor and she went above and beyond the required service.

My experience has been good so far....

http://www.dealerrater.com/ rate your dealer, but op seriously calm down until you get your car back, you can never really tell if they are actually going to fix the stuff or just say they will. And keep us updated to whether they put on 04 or 05 seats and if they put on 05 please try to get me something showing acura approval so I can get mine done

I actually had a bad experience with buying my 04 TL, I first went to Serramonte Acura to bu the car. Hiep was the seale person and did not even let me test drive the car. I've decided to go to Marin Acura and bought the car there...

However, the service is a diff. department. I like the service so far....

Just got my car back from Serramonte Service, unfortunately the seat is still not fixed. They tried to replace the leather but to no avail.

They decided to replace the whole seat and ordered the replacement from Acura. They will reschedule

at 15K you had all those issues!!!!!!!!!! New brakes and rotors...
maybe you are pleased with the service since it was fixed... but what does that say for longer term driveability. 30k will be another brake job...

Don't you think that is the reason why the car came with warranty? I honestly have no problem with driveability. This is my Second Acura. The first car (1990 Acura Legend CPE LS) I had lasted for over 225K miles.

At least Serramonte Acura provide and exceptional service. How do you feel about your car?

Just glad I do not live in the East Coast just like this guy...

UPDATE - New Seat

My New seat is better, no more butt print. They used an 04 seat but somehow the butt print is gone...so I am happy still.

They also replaced one of the speaker that they noticed is ripped.

Overall, I rate Serramonte Acura at A- just because they kept my car overnight.

Yeah keep me posted on the 05 seats all it is that it has an extra stitching on the seat to prevent the buttprints and I would like to get that done too so let us know if that gets done.

There are various reasons rotors warp, none of them are faults of the brake parts in most cases, but in assembly shortcuts and/or not bedding in the pads correctly.

The wife and I have had cars with warped disks, but never after I worked on the brakes. Her taurus went back to the dealers twice for warped disks, the 3rd time
it was out of warenty and I did them, and they never warped again.

As it warms up, I need to do maintanance on the TL brakes, so they dont warp.
I have not been back to the dealers since buying the car, and intend to keep it that way.
