An example of how to treat your TL

http://videos.streetfire.net/search/...7e01260bd3.htm

I'm sorry to say, but these guys are losers. Why in the world would you treat your car like that (it does look sweet though)

I'm sure it's daddy's car. Daddy will pay for the tires.

More than that, extensive wear and tear on the clutch, axles, tranny, engine. And I hope he likes cleaning all the rubber off the bottom of the car.

If that was my kid and my car, he'd be picking buckshot out of his butt.

Don't forget, cars like that end up on used car lots, and would typically be represented as carefully driven and well maintained (like ALL used cars are...)

OUCH!!! what did the TL ever do to him?!?!??! im tempted to say "Take that TL from him".. but then again.. i wouldnt want such a violated TL..

i would NEVER do that to my dad's TL. id kill me.

question (dont flame me pls): have u guys notice that the stock tires (michelins)on the TL dont make a loud screeching noise when they slip? in my old accord, if i hit it harder, the car would tell me what i was doing with a LOUD "EEEEEERRRRCCCCHHHH" of the tires on the pavement...

but i noticed with my TL , when i start more aggressively, i dont hear any screeching...sounds more like rubbing 2 pieces of nylon together really fast. (like the sound in the vid.. only.... not THAT appearant.) any reason y this is?

I would bet money it's a loaner

Or a loaner. It's scary what people do to them I'm sure. I always treat loaner cars from Acura with just as much care as my own, but I can tell some of the ones I've driven have been beat up.

Poor TL, and a WDP at that. Must be daddy's, a loaner or someone elses.

it was a stick, most dealers only loan automatics. i bet it was his car though. he probably leased it and didn't care because he was returning it....

Wink

For some reason it reminds me of when I let my friend drive my old ported RX-7. He was used to driving his auto and forgot to shift out of first when driving my car. He revved my motor to 10,000 rpm before I yelled at him to shift. Luckily it was a ported rotary built for racing and could take 10-11,000 rpm blasts but only 'I' am allowed to do that.

you guys are all dorks. First, I agree no matter what car it is they're doing it in, is stupid. But to rant on for 2 pages with this just says you have too much time on your hands.

second, in their defense, they dont give 6 speed loaners, which says that its most likely thier car. If I spent (which I did because i own an 06 6 speed) $32000.00 plus on a car, I am going to do what ever I damn well please because its MINE.

dont get me wrong. I baby the hell out of my car because i spent 32K on it. But if I did beat on it, its ok too.

Well... I have to say I'm impressed.
Easy come easy go... it looks to me like it's either A. someone else's car or B. His car that someone else is paying for. It really amazes me just how many expensive cars I see here in Miami that are treated like some junker. But... to each his own. Not my ride and nothing I can do about it.

...it was cool to see though.
