Nice to again see what the TL-S is capable of. Those of you that have should consider yourselves fortunate and ignore those who automatically assume FWD = poor handling/massive understeer, etc.

A stock GT500 can't drift?

controlled drift I don't think, he said it sat up to high and was bouncy... all the qualities of a non drift car... it has to be low with stiff suspension, did you see how the front almost hit the pavement when he heel toe the corner

Gotcha. I was thought you were talking about more a recreational, leisurely drift around one of the corners. For that I thought all you needed was high horsepower + rear wheel drive + a manual tranny. Either way, it would have been cool to see.

So how many 3G TL-S owners agree with the handling review of the car?

I wonder what the major differences are between a base and type-s (suspension wise) I'm guessing completely new shocks/springs(obviously), and thicker/solid sways. Am I missing anything?

^^It's not that they don't just sell TL's in Japan, they don't have the Acura brand in Japan^^. The 3gen TL is specific to the Acura brand. Where as the RL is called Honda Legend.

They could've imported it to Japan under the Honda brand, but they were probably concerned that Japanese consumers wouldn't appreciate the rattles as much as we do.

Nice find, but what are the chassis differences between a stock base and a stock Type-S?

Is it just suspension? because in theory, if you get Tein SS or even just the A-spec suspension you should be right up there handling wise with the Type-S

I love the in car acceleration segments. It sounds just like MY Car.

Wish I could turn going that fast without getting a ticket.

Here is the Japanese DK driving the Spoon Honda Legend. He seems to be enjoying himself in the sh-awd equipped car, so it's impressive when he gives a liking towards the american Acura TL.

They used to sell the 1st and 2nd gen TL's in Japan, rebadged as Honda Inspire. But after the 2nd gen, the Honda Inspire became the American Honda Accord.
