Unhappy Engine Mount Replacement

Hello all,

I've been dreading this time for a long while now. But, my 2006 TL is in need of a front passenger side engine mount. I opened up the hood the other day to check out some power steering issues I've been having, and saw the ugly cracked broken mount. Of course I would love to replace them with OEM spec mounts, but due to financial constraints, that is simply not possible at this time.

So, I leave it to you Acurazine--what is the best engine mount, for the money, that I can place into my TL? I found these ones at Autozone. What do you guys think about those?

Thank you!

^ rockauto or partgeek. See who is cheaper, but I know rockauto always have those 5% coupon floating around the internet. The front mount is very easy to do. Just make sure you get some wood to place under the oil pan

Thank you! It looks like the prices seem to vary from around $18-60, would it be true to say that the higher the price the higher the quality of the part?

Thanks guys, just ordered the part from Rockauto. I had actually placed an order over at Partsgeek, but did some research following the purchase and found the brand at Rockauto had a lot better reviews than Parksgeek. Hopefully, I can cancel the order at Partsgeek tomorrow before they charge me for shipping.

I eneded up ordering from both, actually. I am going to use the one from Rockauto because of the better reviews. However, currently I'm dealing with a customer service nightmare with Partsgeek. They will not cancel my order even though it hasn't been shipped yet. So now I have to pay for the shipping to my home and then pay to ship it back. I would've never ordered from there if I knew this was the case. Highly annoyed. I would not recommend that website to anyone.

Just called my bank, they are looking into the issue but it could take up to 10 business days. Then I called PartsGeek, letting them know about the chargeback, but they still refused to cancel the shipment. A few hours after that, I received an email from them saying the order was just shipped. Unfortunately, now I'll be paying for the shipment both ways to return the item. Annoyed, but you live and learn I guess.

Ryan, Sorry to hear. I have a question, how's your front engine mount? My experience is that they usually fail in pair; you may want to check.

Good point! I'll have to take a look for myself, I didn't think of this. I brought the car into my mechanic for them to replace the filter screen in the PS resesivior and he informed me that the RF engine mount needed to be replaced. He's usually pretty good, so it's quite possible he checked the others and it's just this one that failed. But I'll check up on that soon and let you know.

Thanks everyone for your help, just finished up replacing the engine mount with the one I bought from RockAuto. Easy install, fit perfectly, and most importantly the car has no noticeable unnecessary engine vibrations.
