There's pictures all throughout this thread man, why are you asking for a picture lol. Are you asking to see how it looks on a specific color TL?
just wana see how a WDP would look

What ^ said.

I added another strip of 3M double sided tape in-between the two that already came on there and ditched the silicone glue all together since I felt weird about it as well.

Probably unnecessary, but I've read that some are popping off, so I wanted to be sure it was held on nicely

You're not applying any silicone on paint. The spoiler is attached to the window so I felt it was ok. But if you still feel unsure about using silicone, I would add a 3rd strip of double sided tape in between the 2 like mugen said.

After some rain and/or car washes, I'll report back on the adhesiveness.

Just got it in the mail,Curious if it needs to be a certain temperature out when installing, I bought a set of oem window visors and they use the same 3m double sided sticky tape and the instructions for those say it needs to be at least 60 out for the adhesive to work correctly. Just curious if this would be the same. It's been 40's 50's here.

i'll say JB weld does a great job as a replacement for the included silicone. Just remember to spread it out in between the two adhesive strips and dont glob it on just one area.

I'll probably have to cut the spoiler into pieces for removal.

It was a bit colder than 60 when I installed mine (my fault for being too anxious) but I put the spoiler in front of my fireplace (a heat gun would accomplish the same thing) for a few mintues before install to heat up the 3M tape (inluding the 3rd additional piece I put in the middle) and get it as tacky as possible to promote maximum adhesion. The car was also parked in the sun for a while before hand to get the rear window warm and wiped down with isoproyl alcohol to provide a clean surface to stick to. Taped it down and let it sit over night.

So far so good with no signs of budging anytime soon.

Couldn't wait, Used the heat gun to heat up the tape and also put some extra tape in the middle and the glue they sent with it. It feels pretty sturdy don't think it will come off. They did an amazing job on paint match, Very impressed with OEMBMWSHOP Now just got to save up for the type s trunk lip.

Hey everyone, I'm still looking to pickup my trunk lip off eBay for my new '06 Anthracite Metallic TL! I see everyone on here recommends BMWOEMSHOP & THESPOILERSTORE. From the pictures on BMWs auction, the lip spoiler looks slightly short & also seems a little taller than the actual OEM lip spoiler...have a look for yourself;

http://www.ebay.com/itm/PAINTED-ACUR...ht_4205wt_1185

I know were not buying OEM products off eBay for under $150 but I figure, if I'm going to go for an aftermarket lip, I might as well save some bucks...THESPOILERSTORE is $108 shipped which is expensive! Why not go with one for $32.00 painted from OEM.THING, here is the link;

http://www.ebay.com/itm/221000452885...#ht_3339wt_952

The seller above has asked me about the measurement (length) of my trunk. I measured my trunk, end to end as 44 1/8". Does that seem accurate? I was thinking of telling the seller 44" but I do not want it to be short, like the pictures of the black TL in the BMWOEMSHOP auction!

to be honest, I'm not going to purchase from oem.thing now that I have had a conversation with the seller. I don't want to deal with overseas despite saving money. I'll go with 'thespoilerstore'. I realize that the ones overseas appear to be 'straight' while 'thespoilerstore' is closer to OEM in that it is more shaped to the vehicle & I like that

BMWOEMSHOP is also from Taiwan & I don't like the looks of that spoiler from the auction I posted above

Where are the oem tls trunk spoilers for $270 are? The dealer by me said $640 painted! Someone stole mine and I'm looking to replace but the replicas dont seem thick enough plus I have drill holes in my trunk!

This whole thread is a thread about ROOF SPOILERS not trunk lip spoilers.

All the people you see here purchased the roof window spoiler from bmwoemshop or thespoilerstore.

Since your looking at trunk lip spoilers, you should do a acurazine search for a thread on that. There's one around here somewhere. I bought my trunk lip on ebay from someone (not bmwoemshop or the spoilerstore) and it looks good. Looks like a base model lip spoiler. Got it for $30 shipped.

Actually I created this thread with the intention of keeping both roof and trunk lip spoilers in one discussion.

Now on topic mine has been holding up quite well. I bought from this guy

http://myworld.ebay.com/thespoilerstore

It's been 4 months and so far no complaints

For those who have purchased the OEM replica from the spoilerstore... Does it require drilling holes in the trunk like the OEM spoiler, or is it just stick on tape?

All replica spoilers sold, regardless of the seller, are held on by doublesided 3M tape that comes already pre-attached to the spoiler. All you have to do is wipe the trunk or rear window clean and remove the plastic over the tape and than apply it and add steady pressure for up to 5 minutes.

Even if you go with oem, you can still use double sided tape to hold it on. Drilling it is not mandatory for OEM or replica, but OEM gives you the option to drill it while replica is always 3M tape.

What do you guys think of this one? Its $63 - free shipping. Since SpoilerStore will be sold out of my AM trunk lip, this one looks kinda cool, better than all those $30 straight across (no contour to the trunk) lip...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Painted-Acur...#ht_7117wt_989

If anyone has input let me know!? I'm upset, I was hoping for an OEM looking trunk lip but SpoilerStore let me down & the only other ones that come close to or are OEM, are >$200

Not too sure about that seller, but have you looked at something like this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Factory-...item2c649a42b9

Not sure if they have it in the color you need, but this one is pretty much a copy of the OEM trunk lip spoiler. I remember reading that another member on the forum bought this and he had some pics of his car up. It looked great!

Before I installed mine there were 2 female holes to screw something in ( I don't know the proper terminology) but I just stuck with the 3M tape. That way if I do get jacked my trunk isn't ruined.

quick question for the guys with the m3 trunk lip...did you have to bend the lip to get it to conform to the curve of the trunk. I just bought one and it's straight and doesn't match the curve. any ideas on how to get it to hold the curve?

THANKS! I actually found this a few days ago & e-mailed the seller, no budging on price, but I might still purchase from him.....or I also found another one from 'CAR-PARTS-123'

http://www.ebay.com/itm/PAINTED-04-0...#ht_2018wt_952

Do you guys think this one is also a copy of the OEM one? His second picture of the TL is the OEM picture while the first (Desert Sand) looks a little different..

Should I go 'carparts-123' or 'pro-hitch2' ? Help guys! Want my 'as close to' OEM Trunk Lip!!!

You could probably heat-gun it to curve the plastic, although I have never tried that, so I'm not sure what would happen. It shouldn't crack the paint, but you never know what kind of paint is used on these things...

WAIT! pro-hitch2 does not have the Anthracite Metallic Trunk Lip, they only have the spoiler listed on eBay. I did not notice this the first time I glanced at his auction & have e-mailed him tonight, hoping he does in fact have this trunk lip I have been looking for, for a month now!! I just want OEM like-in-the-USA in Anthracite Metallic!

So Spoilerstore (out of stock >1month & Pro-hitch2 (not listed-emailed 4/30). I don't like BMWOEMSHOP (trunk spoiler looks short on the eBay pics - NBP 3G TL)

Whats the thoughts on the carparts-123 listing? Based on feedback, I think I'd be satisfied, but I really wanted to buy from SpoilerStore or Pro-Hitch. I have $25 in eBay bucks, expiring 5.15

It wouldn't hurt to ask. Just ask to "borrow" some of their adhesive to put your spoiler on. They might be hesitant at first but if you have a cool enough person they should have no problem helping you out for a 10 spot or so.
