Just a heads up for u guys, i just got my roof spoiler in from oembmwshop and its too long as in its wider than the rear window so it overlaps by about 1/8 inch on each side. This may be an isolated incident since i ordered mine unpainted. But i had to sand it down quite a bit for it to fit right

i ordered mine from a chinese ebay seller. I think the roof and trunk lip spoilers are the same shape and size. I tried to put the trunk spoiler on the roof for test fitting it was the right width. I think mine is short for the trunk but I'm waiting for the spring cause its too cold and lip doesn't flex right.

Quick question, how does a spoiler become "defective"? I'm interested in getting a roof spoiler as well but I'd like to know what defines a spoiler as being defective. The only thing I can think of is that it falls off your car or something...

Might be just you. Me and many others on here have ordered from "BMWOEMSHOP" and the fitment is just PERFECT. No gaps, and no overlapping. Than again all of us bought it already painted. I haven't read one person saying the fitment isn't right except you. Maybe you aren't installing it right?

I bought my ebay wing spoiler from supernation, color matched my WDP perfectly, he shipped it quickly and it was $108 with free shipping.

How does it look from the side?

Anyone have a BMWOEMSHOP vs. Sarona comparison?

Installed mine today. Roof fitment was 100% perfect. Decklid wasn't perfect but I'm extremely satisfied for $120 shipped. Paint was on point as well.

So when purchasing the roof spoiler from BMWOEMSHOP it says in his auction "all colors available". So do you just add in the notes at paypal checkout the color code you want? I just want to make sure this is how you guys who have purchased from him through his auctions have done it so i don't get the wrong color spoiler.

They'll actually email you to confirm the color (along with year/car/model) if you didn't specify. They'll also give you a small discount if you mention you're from AZ. I had good experience with them, but I have yet to install my spoiler because of the weather

I gave them the color code, i purchased it from there 3rd gen acura TL specific auction so im pretty sure i gave them all the info they need in the notes like swoosh explained. didnt mention i was from AZ but i already paid them and i dont expect them to refund me a small amount of money because of relation to the site. Oh well no biggie, but good to know.

^ I did the same about two weeks ago. Messaged them mentioning acurazine, paid for it, they shipped it right away w/ tracking number and it was already at my door a few days later. Was fairly impressed and pleased with the entire process Highly recommended.

new 06 TL owner here...I will be purchasing a trunk lip from eBay as well. I purchased my '99 TL spoiler (not trunk lip) from eBay for about $100 painted/shipped & had no problems...for those looking for a cheaper 2004-2008 Acura TL trunk lip, see this link:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Painted-ACUR...item4ab4b635d0

All of these trunk lips are coming painted from Taiwan so I assume this will be comparable to what you guys have posted above, but for much less. This is $32 shipped & painted...

If anyone has purchased a trunk lip or ANY Acura painted accessories from "OEM.THING" please let me know your experience with their product. Just want to make sure his paint match is spot on & the spoiler is the correct length!

Referring to the roof spoiler from BWMOEMSHOP, it comes with 2 strips of double sided tape on it already. It also came with a tube of clear silicone. Add a line of silicone, pull the cover off of the double sided tape, and apply! It's a perfect color AND fitment match to the eye. I strapped it down with some tape and left it so over night. Here are some pics of mine that I just installed (don't mind the dirt):

Holy damn that's a lot of tape just to hold it down. I guess if it helps you sleep at night, but I can tell you that me and my friend just used 1/3 of the clear silicone adhesive and both stood on opposite ends of the roof spoiler and held it down for less than 5 minutes.

This was during the day around 2-3PM and about ~30 minutes after installing it I made a 30 minute trip with no problems.

Taping it down over night like how you did is absolutely unnecessary, but if it makes you feel safer than it doesn't hurt.
