Hi Gang,

Is there a BLACKBOX located in the TL? I heard that cars are not coming with a blackboxs or an EVR that records everything that happens in the car.

Is there a way to remove this?

Hmm I read a couple months back about how this Corvette got into an accident and they found out that it was there fault because of reading its recording or something? It told them that the Corvetter was actually speeding (90+) in a city zone. Maybe thats what they mean?

 

um.... I think the answer is "NO".... that device is embedded with the air bag control module.... remove it, and the airbag won't work.... and I think if you can by pass it, you can by pass the mileage computer in your car

 

When I bough my Lexus, they made me sign a release form stating that the vehicle is equipped with a black box that record data, 3 sec(i think) before the air bag deploys, just so that I'm aware of it. I ask the salesman, " So this means I can't lie in the even of an accident, yeah?" He just chuckles. Acura didnt mentioned anything about it when I purchased mine. But who knows, they might have one.
