DVD - Audio retailers

Like many others, I am enjoying the DVD Audio system. What I'd like to know is if anyone has found a good source of DVD Audio discs. I have gone to Best Buy and Circuit City, but they have a very small selection to choose from. I am also wondering if there are any good Online retailers I can check out.

Thanks

The best I have found is "buydvdnow" as far as price and selection. I was disappointed with Best Buy and Circuit City, too. You will have to add the dot com stuff around the name in parantheses. I would also be interested if anyone else has other suggestions.

I found a great selection at Virgin Mega Store... even an '80s New Wave compilation I'd never seen before. You can go to www.virginmega.com and check it out.

Check your local used CD store the ones around here are carrying them in a limited number but quite a bit cheaper... Also Borders books down here have quite a few but there just mixed in with all the cds (If you dont have a borders its like a coffee house/book store / music...

buy online, there are several sites selling almost every DVD-A, and DTS ever made. I've tried www.dvdempire.com with good results. They ship promptly, and have an awesome selection, only limited by how much cash you have to spend.

Try deepdiscountdvd.
You will have to search for what you want. They don't have a section dedicated to DVD-A. They usually have the lowest prices and free shipping.

Tip: do a search on "DVD-A" in the title and it will bring up their entire DVD-Audio selection.

It's called "Inside the Music: New Wave". Here are the tracks:

Songs:
1. One Way or Another (Blondie)
2. My Sharona (The Knack)
3. Destination Unknown (Missing Persons)
4. Eyes Withoutia Face (Billy Idol)
5. She's a Beauty (The Tubes)
6. So L.A. (The Motels)
7. Girls (Dwight Twilley)
8. Tenderness (General Public)
9. Call Me (Blondie)
10. Lunatic Fringe (Red Rider)
11. Mexican Radio (Wall of Voodoo)

It is actually available at www.dvdempire.com as well.

The Missing Persons, Tubes, and General Public songs especially sound great in 5.1 DTS.

If you do a search on "DVD-A" it will not bring up their entire DVD-Audio selection.
They have the Linkin Park DVD-A but if you just search "DVD-A" it will not show up. You have to search "Linkin Park". This is how it is for many other DVD-A such as Seal, Britney Spears, R Kelly etc.

Looks like they lost some consistency in their notation; some of those use "DVD AUDIO" and "DVD/AUDIO" instead of "DVD-AUDIO". Their web site leaves a bit to be desired, but their prices are pretty unbeatable.

Another method to find low-priced DVD-Audios mentioned a while back is www.dvdpricesearch.com. Here again, a generic search like "DVD-A" or "DVD Audio" yields a large selection of DVD Audios.

I don't like how their web site is but the prices are great. I got my Linkin Park from them and the service was great.

I ordered 4 DVD-A's from dvdempire.com and was pleased with their price and service. I had one disc that would not play (looked fine, but hung up at a certain spot) and they promply replaced it. Excellent selection too.
