Driver's link

This may have been discussed before, but I can't seem to find it. Is there a way to link your air conditioning settings to your key remote settings? If so, how do I do it?

Thanks

Yes. Set your climate control they way you want it with the key in the "on" position. Hit the lock and unlock buttons on remote at same time and it will flash several times to clear memory. Push both buttons on remote again and light will be solid. Remote will now control the settings in the climate control.

Memory button on door on does seat and mirrors. Remote does seat, mirrors and climate.

Maybe I am misunderstanding what linking the climate control is supposed to do. Let me get this straight:

-If I set my temp to 75 degrees, then everytime my unlock is pressed, my temp will default to 75 degrees?

-or... The car will remember the last settings that were used before I turn the ignition off. My 2002 TL-S did this, so I hope this is not what the linking is supposed to do.

Maybe I am reading too much into this, or maybe I have read the manual too many times, or maybe I just need someone to dumb it down for me.
