Driver Side Rear Wheel-Well Swiped and Dented Up, How Much to Fix?

Horrible night. Complete carelessness on my part. Swiped the driver side rear wheel-well. Touch wood my first "accident" and hope it's the last. Before I head to a local bodyshop / dealer, how much would it be around to fix? Some insights as to how it will be fixed?

Also the paint seems fine for the most part. The only parts with the paint scratched off is the edge (black line).

The raw damage (white marks were able to be waxed off):

With the white marks waxed off:

Thanks!

Whats the process? Hammer it back out? Roll? Heatgun? Any idea? Is that price from a bodyshop? or dealer? I'm assuming bodyshop?

I had similar damage on my rear passenger wheel well last year. Not nearly as badly scratched as yours, and just a small dent. Cost me $500 to fix it but I have WDP which a;ways costs more. That was in Toronto BTW.

Its a double thickness fender so hammering out from behind is not possible. They grind the paint off, attach metal pins with a special welding gun. Then they attach a slide hammer to the pins and pull the dents. Cut the pins off, hammer into shape, bondo, sand, glaze, prime and paint.

Dent doctor is out.. it is a compound curve and needs paint work.

Can anyone else verify this? Sounds pretty intense for the damage that I see now, now that I've buffed out light scuffs off and such (but it IS the location of it, that's the issue, right?). Just need a bit more idea before I start shopping around tomorrow and check out the places you guys have advised.

You dont want to do that, after the job is done you will be able to see divots in the paint where they attached the pins and ground them back down. Just see if your insurance company will allow the body shop to order new parts, not scrap yard parts.
