Driver Memory Settings

Driver Memory Settings
I have programmed the mirrors and the seats in our 2007 TL Type S for my wife and myself with the #1 and #2 keys. Do any of you guys find it annoying to have to open the door before the seat and mirrors adjust?
Our BMW 330ci and Chevy Avalanche adjust the seats and mirrors when the unlock button on the remote is pressed, and everything is ready before you enter the car. This may be a minor annoyance, but having to stand in the rain while waiting for the seat to slide back is kind of aggravating. I am considerably taller than my wife, and the drivers door panel and armrest gets very wet during this process.
I have read my owners manual, but did not find a section explaining if the memory settings can be changed to activate when the unlock button is pressed, instead of waiting until the door is actually opened.
Thanks for your help,
Lee

My wife doesn't drive the TL often for this to be a problem. You could ask your wife to hit the memory one button before she gets out of the car. I don't know if that would help? I'll have to try it myself. I'm about a foot taller than my wife.
