Drive safe friends

Title says it all. I was driving too fast, like an idiot and paid the price. I was going about 55 on a back road and came upon a very sharp curve. problem was i was looking down changing a cd, when I looked up i was maybe 15 feet from the curve. Way too late to make the turn at the speed i was going.

My TL saved my life, big time considering my only injuries were a stiff neck and bruised/scraped shins. I went airborn off the curb and through a decent sized tree. Heres the outcome.

I really miss it, it was such a fantastic car, I had just bought the XLR8 Quads and was planning on so many more mods this summer but hey... Im still walking and I have a new outlook on my driving habits so, I look on the bright side. I replaced it with a 2013 Toyota Camry SE for now, maybe ill go with a Scion FRS in a year or two but right now, i'll just thank my lucky stars.

Drive safe, dont take your eyes off the road, this shit can happen in a split second.

lol, its this old fashion thing called a compact disc and is frequently used for music in late 90's early 2000's music players.

Thanks though, there were people that witnessed the accident and they were shocked to see the door actually open and me step out

Hell yeah they do lol, I didn't actually come in contact with them though because the tree ended up absorbing enough of the impact that i didnt lurch too far forward. This car definitely would have benefited from knee airbags though, as my shins were kinda messed up. I guess im just lucky i didnt hit the telephone pole that was 5 feet to my right, or the tree that was as wide as my car on the left or the propane tank that was in someones yard about 15 feet from where my car stopped eh? lol

So, seeing as my Camry is a lease im looking at this as an extended period to research and save up for my next dream vehicle. Truthfully I was NOT ready to give up the TLS and the only gripe I had with it was it wasn't a 6 speed. I'm gonna miss that aggressive XLR8 exhaust note, sharp edges, the Moroccan red.... fuck maybe I should just get another TL? haha

A lot of people go back to the TL, nothing wrong with doing so.

Honestly, I don't see any other vehicle (in my means) that catches my eye like the TL does. Should anything happen to my TL, I'd search for another.

Honestly I left it as is and gave it to the insurance company. Felt pretty defeated when it happened and just, didnt care so i said fuck it... I still have a set of base tails and the base exhaust tho :p

Well, a 2010 SH-AWD with a 6 speed catches my eye, maybe when my lease is up those will be in my affordable range!

Sucks to see a nice looking TL go but glad you walked away unscathed.

BTW, what wheels were those?

I drove the current ilx. it was a huge letdown, the camry automatic was ten times the car the manual ILX was, not even kidding. I would have to have a TL or higher it seems. The ilx was slow as hell and very cramped inside vs the Camry or the Altima
