Drive belt tensioner replacement question

Do u need to replace the whole tensioner assembly when replacing serpentine belt tensioner? Or just buy the tensioner and idler by themselves?

If you go to rockauto with 31170-RCA-A04, you can do either.
It appears associated drive belt tension parts are 'discontinued' via OEM?

If the tensioner meets the 'test' criteria below, then just replace the pullies if they are noisy?
