Door handle mod?!?

Where do I buy this? Is it a factory part? If so, does anyone know the part number. I also need the part number for the 2 center console and rear center console extra carbon pieces.

This prevents anyone tryin to pick your lock and even more so looks sleeker. I understand you would lose the ability to stick the key in the key hole and open or close your windows with the key, no biggie, just unlock the doors and do it from the inside (its not often I leave these things open). If you ever needed to use your keyhole, i.e. battery dead, You could easily pop off that end cap and use your key....

you know how the door handle on the driver side has the keyhole? some people rather see that covered up or "shaved" all you do is buy the door handle part for the rear door and use that to cover it up. voila, no more keyhole. looks a lot cleaner if you ask me

Isn't there also another one that covers the heater buttons?

I think the kit includes that piece though the description doesn't state clearly:

Part #: 08Z03-SEP-200B

Here is the Front Console Wood Kit. There is a piece that covers the heater buttons:

Part #: 08Z03-SEP-200A

contact Tim @ www.hondacuraworld.com, and he will be able to find out for sure.

I have the carbon fiber kit and the heater switch piece definitely came with it. It's a separate piece but it is included.

The picture that enigmaos had posted up is actually for the front passenger side (32). Picture 28 is for the driver key hole cover. The one you need is picture 33 based off of this picture.

Part Numbers:

033 72684-SEP-A01ZA COVER, L. RR. ( ABYSS BLUE PEARL )
033 72684-SEP-A01ZB COVER, L. RR. ( NIGHTHAWK BLACK PEARL )
033 72684-SEP-A01ZC COVER, L. RR. ( DEEP GREEN PEARL )
033 72684-SEP-A01ZD COVER, L. RR. ( WHITE DIAMOND PEARL )
033 72684-SEP-A01ZE COVER, L. RR. ( SATIN SILVER METALLIC )
033 72684-SEP-A01ZF COVER, L. RR. ( ANTHRACITE METALLIC )
033 72684-SEP-A01ZG COVER, L. RR. ( ROYAL RUBY RED PEARL )
033 72684-SEP-A01ZH COVER, L. RR. ( DESERT MIST METALLIC )

If you order them online, it'll just be the same as ordering it from your local Acura parts guy. The price you pay online is less, but when you factor in the price of shipping, it costs just as much as ordering it from the parts guy at your dealership. Aside from that, it depends on which one will get you your parts faster.

lol how are you gonna open the OTHER doors?

So everytime you press unlock twice everything pops open?
That's quite a bad idea. No offence, just my opinion.

There are many threats about this, try a search.

I recommend you buy it at the dealer, its about $15 and it already comes painted. Just a matter of popping off the old and replace with the new.

I've done this mod too. I went to the dealer to get the part and the service guy was so amazed that he just gave me the part for free. It's things like this that make AZ so great, I would have never thought of doing this on my own. Funny little story, I went away for 3 weeks last year to florida and when I came back my battery was dead. My mother inlaw was going to move my car but couldn't figure out how to unlock the car (dead battery = dead keyfob lol) She was like what kinda car comes with no keyholes..only the TL modded edition :o ) A simple butterknife to pop the cover off and then just a quick jump and I was on my way...

You guys do realize that once you cover the key hole you lose the ability to roll your windows up from outside.

I use this feature all the time, especially in the summer.

Anyone have problems installing this?

I lost mine off the rear door and ordered a new one but I'm having trouble getting it to snap on. I slid the one end of the plastic piece over the metal piece attached to the door and tried to push the other side until it snapped on but it just pushed the metal piece into the door. No matter how hard I push i can't get it to snap on. I can always just pull it right off.

I wonder if someone took mine to do this mod :/
