Hey,
I want to give anyone in the orange county area the heads up, I went to buy my 04/TL/Silver/Ebony Leather. I asked the saleperson if i could come back and have the stock navi installed, he assured me everything was all good. 1 week after purchase i make the call to setup installation. They tell me i am sorry, we can't install stock navi, you can only get aftermarket navi. If you are shopping in OC, look for another spot. I got screwed.

I'm sorry to hear that. I have had a lot of service and installs done there and never had trouble. I pm'd a name there of someone who I believe would like to hear about your experience.

A window should pop up saying you have a private message. Or, in the bar right under "Forums" is a user cp. Click on that and you'll see check private messages.

What do you mean by "come back and have stock navi installed"? I thought the TL came with Navi or without Navi and have never heard you could switch later. Am I misunderstanding? This would be quite strange if the salesguy told you that stock navi could be dealer installed.

Im sorry for your misfortune. Sales people will say anything to you to make the sale. You can not have the navi at a later time. These 2 models come with competely different wireharnesses, mount points and several other variables making it impossible to do the installation unless you gut the entire vehicle and reaplce the harnesses and mount all the speakers and gps antenna.

Im sorry but you got screwed. Doing the install would cost at least 4-5k to have it done. just take the loss on yoru vehicle and trade in for a navi vehicle if you want the navi that bad.
