Does drivetrain warranty cover brakes?

Does drivetrain warranty cover brakes?

I know it does not cover pads but how about the abs/vsa, etc? Thanks and sory for any inconvinience just want to be positive before calling to purchase, thanks to all.

I would think the calipers, break line, etc. would be covered.

Don't think so. Drivetrain is more about the transmission, gears, axles, clutch.

ABS and VSA would be more brake-related and possibly electrical.

get the details online from the company -or faxed to you before you buy anything
Powertrain is usually engine,
drivetrain is transmission and axles

ABS would be brakes, though its rare for an abs failure if you change the brake fluid every year like the book says to
More likely is `normal wearout of rotors and pads`- not covered items~

usually wearout items are not covered (brake pads, rotors, etc) but i would assume something like a caliper seizing within warranty could be covered??? not 100% sure though...

I am sure you're right - if the wear on pads/rotors were caused by a mechanical defect (such as a sticking caliper) all those parts should be covered under the *normal* 4-year, 50k mile (or extended) warranty (not drivetrain/powertrain).

How do you purchase VSA/ABS? What do you need fixed exactly? Better information = better answers.
