Hi,

I am experiencing the slight vibration issue that I get when in 5th gear and at about 1500rpm when travelling at speeds between 70-85km/h.

I have an 06 TL.

I saw the TSB for this here:

but it appears to be applicable to the 04 TL.

It shows that some damper needs to be installed but I would have assumed that this would have been installed already during manufacturing on 05+ model year TLs.

Does this apply to my 06 TL Automatic and has anybody with an 05 / 06 / 07 TL used this TSB to fix their issue at an Acura Dealership?

this only applies to 2004.

 

the damper is already applied to your vehicle. If you feel it is excessive, here are some troubleshooting methods to determine your issue:
1. Go to a redlight after the car is warm-ed up to operating temperatures. Stay in D and press the brake. Does the shifter vibrate? Does the brake vibrate?
If yes, the issue is your motor mounts, they are probably failing or binding.

2. Drive 50-53 MPH and put the car in 5th gear via SS mode. What RPM is the car at? Do you have the vibration present?
3. Drive 45 MPH and shift upto 5th gear, you should be around 1300 RPM's. Does the car vibrate?
