Does anyone know there is a speed cap for cruise control on a 2005 TL?

I realize the OP is probably long gone but I had this question too so I tested it out. Before the safety police bust down my door this was done on an empty stretch of I-90 in Montana. On my 2007 TL Type-S the cruise would accelerate as long as I held the "accel" button but when I released it the car dropped down to 128mph and held it there. This was certified by my Garmin GPS (I like the features on my Garmin and it's more up to date than my cars NAV database from May 2006)

it may depend on which tire package the car has- the tire rating
top speed limited 125- 135 etc

what did you get for top speed with acc button held on?

thats the only place to get a legal copy- thru alpine
on their site is a list of what cities were updated on which version, so areas you travel may have been done a year or 2 ago--
then you can ck ebay for a used copy when someone else went to newest! save 100+

I got it up to 138mph and it was still accelerating but I was letting go to see if it would hold speed every ten mph or so. I'm assuming it will let me use "accel" all the way to the top speed limiter but only hold the cruise to 128.
