please help and be aware. All i did was hook up the black wire to the green wire from the door switch, and the red wire to the white/red wire from the rear loom. Not only my sill does not the light up but its messes up my car electrical system. I have no power from the area around my navi. Navi does not turn on. The car wont lock or unlock with the key. There is no beeping sound when the driver door open with the key in the ignition. I cant control the left and right rear view mirror. The car does start. No beeping sound with the headlight on and driver side door open. The heater switch for the left and right mirror does not work. MEM1 & MEM2 buttons does not work. Please help. I gave up with the door sills.

I'm wondering if you may have cut through one or more of the wrong wires. I would go back and look at the wires you spliced and see if any have been cut through. Other than that, I'm not sure what else to do.

i did double check. Nothing is cut. I just found out now the interior and exterior light does not light up with out the key in the ignition on ACC. Its seem like my car have no power with out the key in the ignition on ACC or the engine running. I triple check all the fuses and they are all good. What could have happened?

Guys this is a 30 min install at any radio shop in your local area. I am not sure why guys with no electirical know how are attemtping the install on there own. Again if you have not insalled radios or speakers or played with wiring I suggest even though there is a DIY done by many over 200 installed sets to take the sills to any alarm or Radio install shop to do it for you its more then worth it for there expertise. THTL I understand you wanted to try on your own and its comendable but at this point get it to a install shop and have it done correctly and so they can hopefully fix what you cut into it sounds to me like the incorrect power wire was clipped by accident. Something had to have been clipped as these are very low voltaged LED lights and dont effect any of your cars power fuses or anything else. Let us know how you make out. Reach out to some of the veterans out there who have done this such as Adam in NJ.

The only cable i connected is the green from the rear door switch to the black cable on the sill. And the red from sill to the white/red wire from the rear loom.

I have all my sills installed but the front and rear drivers side are not as bright as the two on the passenger side. On the front drivers side the letters AC on ACURA are faded and the RA on ACURA are faded on the rear drivers. Could this be a power issue, or something else?

WOWOWOW....you guys are having a ton of issues....lets tackle them 1 at a time...

THTL: This is what I would do:
1> I would check and then recheck all the fuses. This is how I would go about it....Disconnect the battery and then remove all the fuses one by one, check em and plug em back in....replace the blown fuses....
2> I would revisit all the places you cut/spliced/crimped any wire and make sure there is no short or NO bare wire touching your car chasis etc....if there are, electrical tape to the rescue....
3> I would connect the battery and see what all comes on....I think you will be 90% back on here....how do i know, i went through the same...
4> I would pop the door switch out for each door and connect the BLACK wire from the sill at the door switch location. For the red wire for each side I would use the pix posted up to see and connect....AGAIN i hate crimps and hence I spliced the wires....you have to be very careful as you dont have to cut the wire, just the insulation and connect the wire....

Please try this step for step and Let me know how it goes....

Con5tant: I thought you were electrically inclined and I think I used your DIY for the KP window roll up module....

Anyway please explain me the problem and I will try to help you to my fullest....

Crook1: Can you take some pix and post em ? This would help me, help you

funny you should say that because i'm actually an electrical engineer...
i attempted this once. when i find a schematic of the cars wiring i will try again...but without a schematic i'm not going to blindly cut into anymore wires

Swoosh. Thanks for the help. I tried all those steps. Twice. Does not solve the problem. There is noo power or function on those buttons around the navi. My navi dont even turn on. The external and interior lights would not turn on if the key is not in the ignition on ACC. Someone please helppppppppppppppppppppppppp.

that i did not do. Is there another fuse location beside the one in the engine bay and inside driver kick panel? Swoosh. The fourth pic that u posted, you have the black wire connected to the white/red wire?

No...the only 2 locations for the fuse (that I know and that are relevant here) are:
Engine bay
Driver side kick panel

And Yes the 4th pix the black is going to white with red stripe....

Now remember, I think Acura run outta colors and hence they used couple colors over again....the white with red I used had 1 silver mark on it....there is another white with red with no silver marks...that one goes to the Red wire....

Here is my post that I put couple weeks back....use it as a reference, I have mentioned about the silver marks....

Guys some pointers:

1> I would not use the crimper....they dont work all the time...they didnt work when i tried to install the KP window module nor did they work this time....I would rather solder the wire

2> red and white stripe DOESNT NOT MAKE SENSE....its a white wire with red stripe....

Here are all the wires I used:

Driver Side 12V constant - red from sill - Gray with blue stripe - Found in rear sill loom
Driver front switch - front sill black wire - Green - Found in front sill loom - there were 2 green wires here....one had one silver mark the other had 2 marks....i used the one with one mark
Driver rear switch - rear sill black wire - Green with Yellow stipe - Found in rear sill loom

Passenger Side 12V constant - red from sill - White with red stripe - found in rear passenger loom
Passenger front switch - front sill black wire - white with red stripe (yes again) and this wire had 1 silver mark....i had to open the door switch to confirm this - you can find this in the front sill wire loom
Passenger rear switch - rear sill black wire - green with white stripe - found in rear door sill loom....

Also, I have a 05 Base 5AT....I opened all the door switches to confirm what wire goes to the BLACK from the door sills....

I took a knife to each wire...cut the insulation (NOT THE WIRE) and exposed the wire....once that was done i wrapped the wire from the sill around it, soldered a little and put some electrical tape....and back in the wire loom....

I will put some pix up today....

I am so confused. Some post say to connect the Red from sill to the white/red and Black from sill to the green/white( door switch).and that is what i did. Now u saying the black is connected to the white/red. If that is the case, then where did u connect the RED from the sill?

What i did is I checked each and every door switch for the wire that comes out from it....

i dont blame the different color mentioned as I bet the color would change from model year to model year....i have an 05....just FYI

^^ When I did this I noticed there were two wires in the front drivers side that looked identical. After giving up and installing the back ones I came back to the drivers side and found the other wire. Once I hooked it up to that wire it worked. You also need to be careful with those stupid T-Taps...they sucks and sometimes dont complete the circuit. The black wires were the easist to install, you only have one option with the door pin is lol

I have no electrical experience and it took me like 2 days to wire my damn LED footwells through the center consol to the back seats with a switch, but this i found to be pretty easy

i hate the t-taps....they didnt work while i was installing my window roll up module, they didnt work while installing the sills....

the passenger side is easy as 1 red and 1 black wire from the sill goes to white with red stripe...the only difference is the black goes to the door switch wire which has 1 silver mark and the red goes to white with red with no silver marks.....so it was easy to identify....the driver side had me stumped.....

Agreed, took me a few tries to finally get the t-taps in the proper place with the roll up module.....they are a PITA but still easier then soldering every connection....just gotta make sure they are lined up properly so when you squeeze them together it actually splices into the wire.

Hey bro I figured out where your spring came from.
It's out of your electrical pliers.
