Disengaging 2008 TL Alarm Question

Searched and cant find.

I am working on my track bitch a del Sol about 40 miles from home near work. Left my key fob 1 for my TL in it by mistake and hitched a ride home with a buddy thinking it wasn't an issue since I have the key fob 2 at home. I get home and key 2 appears to have the battery completely dead. Car doesn't react to the lock or unlock. Here is my question. Since it is the original key will opening the car using the key deactivate the alarm? or will the alarm blast off once I turn the key and open the door? If it opens will the car start or will the alarm let me turn it on?

why did you have to tell the story with your del slow, confused me, thought you left your TL key in the delslow.
well anyways why dont you just take the second key fob, open the door manually, then take the key fob 1 and turn off the alarm by pushing the unlock button?......................................

Just popped open the key 2..

Battery is NOT dead.. multimeter is showing over 3V..

2 years with the car and this key is rarely used..

Anyone knows if they tend to lose its programming?

Never mind..

found the manual online and it answered my question..

Once the security system is set,
opening any door (without using the
key
or the remote transmitter), the
hood, or the trunk will cause the
system to alarm

Using the key fob, even without it disengaging the alarm the key will in fact unlock and disengage it.. allowing you to open and turn on the car..

lol was just going to reply. your two keys are designed for your car, so the alarm shouldn't go off. once you twist it to unlock, your car will be unlocked thus disengaging the alarm.

Exactly.. thanks for the replies xD

I just wanted to confirm before setting it off and waking all my neighbors!

Still got to figure out why its not working.. saw a couole of threads on how to program it.. maybe it needs to be programmed again.. but at least for now I resolved the issue of leaving the key 1 far away in the del slow lol
