Discounts on 2004 TL....Can you believe it?

East Imports in Grand Rapids Michigan is offering $1,200 off on all 2004 TLs on the lot. There's around 14 of them currently.
Can you believe it? So... anyone on the west side of Michigan, if you're looking for a new TL, go see um. I don't know how long this will last.

Here's their website.

Has anyone seen any deals like this anywhere else?

They actually have 19 2004s on the lot. Three w/ NAV.
Here's a list of their current inventory.

Is this off of MSRP?

Many owners here have reported better deals than that, after negotiations. I don't know of any dealer advertising prices that low.

For the midwest, $1,200 off a non-navi TL isn't that great of a deal. One could get $1,200 off or more back in December for the non-navi's. For a Navi though, I'll change my tune.

Tustin Acura here in Orange County did $1200 on everything on the lot (I got an additional accessories like wheels locks, splash guards and nose mask)...of course there were no Navi's on the lot They were only doing $300 off Navi when I bought in late Jan. There was someone who posted here that they got a 5AT non-Navi for $30K even plus destination.

That's pretty good. $30k.
I didn't know they were knocking off anything on the 2004s, I thought is was pretty much sticker, so when I saw $1,200, I thought that was pretty good. Guess not. Oh well.

On a 6MT non-navi in the exact color combo that I wanted, I got mine for $1,700 or so off of sticker...and that was a month or so ago.

I think the non-navi 5AT's which are more common you're able to get better than that.

Just FYI for ya! PM me if you want more details on my deal.

well, there's a NBP 6MT w/ navi and HP tires msrp at 34, 850 before the discount, which would leave it at 33,650. sounds like a pretty good deal to me for any potential Mich. buyers.

FYI,

-- "everything on the lot" as things currently stand often means NO Navi models. The place I ordered from last week had about 50-60 non-Navis and the backlog on those looks pretty big.

-- I also learned (or at least, was TOLD) that the online inventories include cars on order that are already sold. So if you check out dealer X's list and it shows 40 non-Navis and 5 Navis...the Navis may very well all be sold and probably not even physically present.

From what I saw, $1200 off a Navi would be an OK deal in NJ but not quite optimal... shopping around might net a few hundred less.

FYI,

I bought a 6MT Black w/Navi for 33,800 last week from Acura in Akron. Local Columbus dealer wouldn't budge past 34,200 on exact same one. They threw in "free" wheel locks, trunk tray, and splash guards...

The fact that they're starting at $1200 off makes it that much easier to hopefully negotiate an even better deal since the delta to get where you want to be (probably a discount of $1700-$2000 for non-NAV and $1300-1500 for NAV), as opposed to starting from MSRP and working from there.

Thanks for the info. It should be useful for those that don't already have a TL.

Wow, did you see the VIN #'s on a lot of the TL's that East Acura are selling for $1200 off? Many if not most of them are < 10000, and I don't think any of them were built as recently as last month.

Demos, perhaps?

Don't know. East isn't a big dealer, I wouldn't think they'd all be demos. There isn't that many running around the west side of Michigan yet. I live in Kalamazoo which is one hour south of Grand Rapids, and I've only seen one silver 2004 down here so far. Up in GR, not that many yet at all. Maybe they're just not pushing them off the lot that fast. ???
Of course, the one that I want, 6MT w/Nav is nowhere to be seen in the color choice that I want.

I got $2000 off MSRP for a Navi 6speed that was ordered, not in stock. Try Jones Acura in Lancaster, PA Not many Amish buying Acura's in Lancaster...guess they still like the ol' horse and buggy's for crusing around town.

I wouldn't want to get a car that just weathered the winter in a dealer's lot...

and I'd stay away from a TL with VIN < 19xxx right now.
