Detroit area detailers, clearbra, tint, etc

Can anybody reccomend good shops for detailing? Getting a clearbra? Tints?
(Novi - Detroit)

Would you get the detailing done when you buy the car? (Specifically waxing) - I am within 2 weeks of purchase and I want to do everything to make the car look perfect.

For tint, I would recommend Sunshade in Troy. They are located on Maple, just east of the Troy Motor Mall, on the north side of the road.

For detailing, I don't know of any shops to recommend, since I do my own detailing with Zaino. But I would say give Darrin a call. He details cars for some extra income on the side, and he's pretty damn good with Zaino.

Clearbra... I have no clue. But I do know that you shouldn't have the dealership do it because they will rip you off.

Darrin.... you?

Thanks for the tip on Sunshade, I will give them a call. Did you get tints? How much? I am not sure what the legal crap is in Michigan - I have heard you can only have the rear 3 windows with tints, correct? If not, I would MUCH rather get the entire car with tints.

In Michigan, it's 35% on rear 3 windows, and as dark as 35% on the front windows, BUT only 6 inches from the top.

My brother got me 3M Titanium 35% tint all around on my car (all 5 windows), and it came out perfect. I haven't been pulled over or anything for the tints.

Darrin's user name is Darrinb on A-CL. I'm sorry I said give him a call without giving you his number or anything. I don't know what I was thinking.

Shoot him a PM on A-CL and ask him. Good luck.

By the way, where in Michigan are you located?

Novi

As far as the tints, what would the ticket/fine be for having tints that dark all around? I'm not sure I would only want them on the back 3.. hmm decisions.

Thanks for the info - I'll PM him in a minute.

The first two times, it'll be a ticket for like 50 bucks, I think. If you don't want to pay it, then you get it stripped off and have the car inspected by the cop. He/She will sign off on the ticket, then.

But if you wanted to keep the tint, you can just pay the ticket. But, on the 3rd ticket, I *think* they make you take it off.

He said he doesn't do the detailing this time of year, would you know anybody else who would? Would it be wise to simply not get the wax done now, and wait till next spring?
