OP- you can't have that much of a salty attitude after you post a thread like that. No one is going to applaud bad driving.

^ I like salt.

OP I feel your pain, just tryin to lighten up the situation. Hopefully something will work out. I still say your insurance is ridiculous but i like hearing success stories. Sound like you worked really hard to get where you're at now.

Just try shopping around and see if you can get some cheaper insurance. ALSO it really PAYS to take a driver improvement course. IDK how it's done in canada, but here it takes some if not all the points off your liscense, depending on how many you have. Check into it, man.

Well you don't have to for the ones with white around the edges.

Speed? Yes, all the time actually. Like you, I go with the flow on the highway. Have I gotten tickets for speeding? Yes. Happens, but if I didn't want them I would slow down. Unfairly targeted? Doubtful. Trust me, your attitude about how this all goes down changes as you get older. You will find that you probably are driving like an arse and probably are giving some attitude when you do get pulled over.....you just don't see it that way right now.

No matter what....good luck, park it, buy something cheap for a while and stop getting tickets.

If its any consolation, I got pulled over a few years ago for speeding. My 16 year old son was sitting in the passenger seat. It was dark, going threw an industrial area, we were chit-chatting and into the conversation when suddenly a police car comes out of nowhere. Speed trap...perfect place for it. Anyway, to be honest I didn't even realize I was speeding, but was nonetheless. As much as I was upset about being caught in a speed trap in the middle of nowhere, it was a warranted ticket. The officer said I know, sometimes with these cars you don't realize how fast you're going. OP, we all feel for you but moral of the of the story is, get to know your TL and keep your eyes on the speedo. Luxury cars tend to be ticket magnets so drive safe and pay a little more attention.

Honestly OP, you've just been unlucky. I doubt anyone here follows traffic laws to the tee. I'm surprised the other tix weren't dropped...like 7km over the limit..really?

keep the car. look for another insurance company. If that doesnt work then drive without insureance like some people do in all over the world!! drive on the limit and youll be fine.

This is one of the reasons why i dont speed, especially in nj where the freaking insurance is high as hell. they wanted like 1900$ for a first timer even if i am above 21 years old. Good luck.

That's anywhere.

Don't be an idiot and drive without insurance. Get a Civic or even a Corolla for that shit. And even then, STILL don't drive without insurance. You're just asking to get pulled over and/or get into an accident.

Also, if you don't have insurance. TBH, GTFO off of Acurazine.

Thanks for the suggestion I will definitely look into driver improvement courses if it will help, only problem is the insurance rates are based on tickets accumulated regardless of whether there were any points attached to the tickets or not. I didn't think I was in hot water with insurance because most of my tickets (anything under 15km over) didn't warrant a demerit point. Also there aren't a large amount of companies that take high risk drivers, but I'm looking into it.

As for driving without insurance, HELLLLL NO worst advice possible hahaha. The soonest I'll be driving again is April depending on how much my insurance drops, I'll wait until then. Only positive thing about the situation is the amount of money I'll be saving on well, insurance..obviously, but gas as well. Putting that money back into the car though no doubt, either for myself when I'm back on the roads or resale purposes if it will be a couple years before I'd be able to drive her again.

I do admit I do not always come to a complete stop at stop signs. I do slow down and do the rolling stop. I have seen cops doing the same thing.
