Depreciation of 2004-2006 TL's w/ '07 Arrival?
Just wanted to get everyone's thoughts ... I'm in the market come fall/winter for an '04 TL w/ NAVI, and 6spd. Right now ... I'm seeing them priced around $26-27K ... I live in the DC area ... but would be willing to either travel, or have the car shipped, if it was that good of a deal ... do you think the price of the '04's will go down a little or a lot once the 'mini' redesign happens with the 2007 model? I was hoping to spend low to mid 20s for it ... not high 20s.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Alex

I would think that if there was a depreciation, it would be well after the design... like mid 07- mid 08... it will take some time before the new design gets outo nto the street and develops enough of a following to hurt the value of an 04....
I dont think you have any worries....

I think he's talking about the 07 TL which should be here in a 1-3 months. And as he said it is due to be minor so there will be the typical depreciation of one model year to the next, not the drastic depreciation when a whole new design is introduced.

I just bought my Auto 2004 TL with navi for $21,900 a few weekends ago. It has high miles (47,000), but these Acuras last forever, so I didn't mind the mileage. Keep in mind that the car was listed for $26,999, so you should be beating these guys up for your price!

07 Doesn't matter...
Depreciation is relatively linear in all model years. Cars are bad investments, they all depreciate over time. The TL's depreciation curve is one of the better, but the 2007 changes will do little to change the depreciation curve of the 2004 MY... Even with a highly anticipated "big announcement". Big announcement only depreciate the previous MY car.
Shop around and do your homework.
