maybe i'm wrong.. or maybe i'm just the first to admit it. but i sure as hell do want that TL-S lol

p.s. but the rims are pretty damn ugly. LOL

You have your costs wrong. The difference is far greater than $2K. Looks like your price projections were formulated off the erronious web information a lot of people got pulled into. Maybe you haven't seen it yet, but that was removed form that site. Difference will be over $4K

No my cost numbers are quite correct (I checked Hondanews.com before posting). It was reposted on Hondanews.com a few days ago. The difference is $2K increase for a 2007 Type-S TL over a 2007 Nav TL.

TL Trim Name Trans 07M . . TL 5AT 33,625 20/28 . TL w/ Navigation 5AT 36,125 20/28 . TL Type-S 6MT 38,125 19/28 . . 5AT 38,125 19/28 . TL Type-S w/ Summer Tires 6MT 38,325 19/28 . . 5AT 38,325 19/28

Ken1997TL is so right! The 2007 Pontiac Grand TL!

I DO like a lot about the new TLS, but the wheels and some of the design touches (quad exhaust) are too overdone. A little gimmicky for my taste. It's trying to look like something it's not.
Pontiac would be proud. I prefer a more understated look.

I think the Type-S should have 18" wheels and not the 17's.

Those pictures make the car look 10x better than it does in person (or regular average joe pictures) But of course I love the car, always did.

i agree with ding069
drop a few more grand and get a 335i
with all of those upgrade IF 04-06 TL owners wants the TL to look like the TYPE S
it can be done easily the quart tip isn;t $$$ someone in the forum did it to his B4 !!! type S even came out !!!!
the tail light can be changed easily
the interior is ALMOST the same as the TYPE S the trim is STILL carbon fiber only the base changed i WONDER Y lol steering wheel can be change, side mirror many ppl does NOT like it rims r horrible our 04-06 stock rims soo much CLEANER and nicer the new ones doesn't look like they r 17"
for power ..... many of you got the supercharged i m pretty sure ppl with supercharge isn;t much slower than TYPE S also if ppl wants a quiet and manual car they can find that with the 04-06 unlike the 07 if u want a stick u have to get the TYPE S which would be louder which not everyone would want it .... TL isn;t a bad car but with that price more ppl would go for G35 and IS and the 335

with TYPE S on the back everyone would want the car to be one of the fastest one they'll feel embrassed when they know they can get smoked easily by the new 07 from other companys

i agree with u about psychological but in this case it;s reallynot true becasue ppl r now comparing the 07 tl with other 07 models and tl isn;t winnie in many cases...

I'm not in denial, I love my 05 and I think the upgrades to the 07 TL-S are cheesey.

I will admit that I will wait for the 09. It will be an infinity, lexus, bmw killer!!!!

i might also wait until the 09, just slap on the A-spec suspension, a-spec body kit and a few other things and it will be much better that the 07. BTW, the 07 has a switchblade key like the RDX except with a trunk button

Not to burst anyones bubble, But if you knew anything about the Nissan VQ compaired to honda's V6 there's a major difference.

VQ35HR will be used on the new G35 sedan/350z ONLY!

HR stands for High Response (or High Revolution)
5th Generation of the VQ.
Redline increase to 7500rpm
Higher compression ratio: 10.6:1 (previously 10.3:1)
Redesigned block for increased rigidity: ladder frame reinforcment
Increased height of cylinder blocks
New cylinder heads
Improved coolant system flow
Worldwide first hydrogen free DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating for lowered frictionon valve lifters
Stronger valve springs
Larger valve diameters
Hydraulic CVTC on intake side
Electromagnetic CVTC on exhaust side
Adoption of isometric exhaust manifold
Equal length exhaust manifold
Reinforced Chain cover
Sound insulating engine cover
New oil pump rotor
Reinforced oil pan
Enlarged crank journal diameter
Enlarged diameter crank pin
Twin knock sensors
Symmetric intake system
Straight inlet port
Iridium spark plugs
Spark plug modified into M12
Asymmetric piston skirt
Longer Conrod
Processing PVD Piston Ring

When your still dealing with timing belts, the rest of the car better make up for it not being a chain engine.

PICTURES AND OTHER SPECS ARE LOCATED HERE:

Forgot to mention the DUAL TB's

Also VQ engines have been around since early 95.
They have always been a

-4CAM Dual timing chain engine.

Whe I got rid of my RSX-S, I wanted a TL-S so yes I can say I'm a little sad my car doesn't carry the S badge but you know with all the mods I've done, I'm very happy with it.
Now I'm thinking of what Honda/ Acura did in '03, brought the 3.2 TL-S and what happened the following year, it redesigned the entire model but left the 3.2 for all the models, being stick or auto....based on that assumption I'll wait a couple of years and see what happens, maybe the shape will change entirely and those who went out to get the "S" will be asking themselves the same question....
am I in "The Nile".......

People in this thread are comparing the new Type-S to the previous 3 years of 3G TL's, thats the main topic. I did reread it, so obviously your last immature line applies to you.
