Deck Lid or Wing Spoiler on an 04 TL??
I know this had been discussed before but I thought I would ask the question again. Which do you prefer on the 04 TL, a deck lid or wing spoiler and why? I have a black 04 TL and love the lines of the car, but I wanted to add a spoiler to make it a bit different.
I just traded my black 02 TL Type S with a wing spoiler. I liked it on that car because of the low trunk.
By the way if you have a picture of a Black 04 TL with a deck lid or wing spoiler please email them to me.
Thanks for your input...

i would have to go with deck lid spoiler. I guess my opinion comes from how a deck lid spoiler look on an E46M3 and B5 S4. It's subtle and not too drastic.

I am very biased as I have the deck lid. The reason I bought it is because I like the simple, uncluttered look of the car from front to back. The deck lid added a small detail that complemented the existing lines rather than throw them off. I also think the deck lid seems to go along more with a sporty/lux car than the wing spoiler which seems ricey to me

Personal taste. Myself, I like the deck lid. I think the wing spoilers look good on 2 door cars, not so much on the 4 door. I put the M5 lip spoiler on my 2003 TL-S and liked the looks of that. Several people at the dealer asked where the hell I got that...
I vote for decklid, friuty or not.

I have the wing spoiler on my NBP TL and have had nothing but compliments. IMHO the lip spoiler is so subtle you might as well not have it. It's a personal decision, but I would look at both at the dealer (if possible) before I'd make a decision. My local dealer had a demo with a wing spoiler and when I saw it my decision was made.

Between the deck lid spoiler or the wing spoiler, I prefer the wing. It is totally a personal thing. From the pictures, I didn't like either the deck lid or the wing. Than I saw them in person and the wing looked much better to me. As I said, it is really just a personal choice.
HOWEVER, I am not willing to pay $900 to have one installed. For that much money it had better make the car faster, handle better or brake quicker. And there is no where locally that I trust to put it on. When I do finally buy my TL, I will probably just leave it be. The car looks pretty good as is. One less thing for the dealership to screw up. Also makes negotiations easier. Just my $0.02.
