I doubt you'll even need that honestly. I used dental floss on my 18 year old car (94 325i) and whatever residue was left I went over with rubbing compound and it was more than perfect.

I did think of it. Everyone here on the forums seems to have done it without a problem. I used the shitty 3M stuff and a cloth and dental floss and somehow the glue decided it was going to fuck my paint up. Lucky me.
