I've been thinkin' 'bout that too. Do a picture search as there are members who've debadged.

I think on certain colors it looks clean and on others it looks like they had some body work done and the people were too lazy to put the trim pieces back on.

I debaged my 2G, and it looked slicked because the ass is curvy...but on a 3G, my opinion of course, I wouldn't...we have solid rectangular lines, the emblems adds to the appeal perfectly...just search the forum there are plenty of threads on this so you can see the difference and decide for your self.

I say debadge. The back of the car looks so much cleaner once it’s done. When you see another TL you will think that it looks cluttered compared with the debadged look.

I personally don't like the debadged look, but that's just my opinion. If you like it, go for it.

If from the back you can't tell the difference between as TL and a TSX you're a car idiot.

If I had a TL-S I am not sure what I would do. It would look weird if you just removed the left side and kept the type-S.

the rear is too rectangular to be debadged.

plus, dunno about other dealers but when they added the A-spec badge on the bottom right of the trunk lid, the entire rear just looks...dont have the right word...legit? it just looks hot.

i say keep the badges on!

of course if i had the entire RJ kit, i'd debadge everything

Once I was at Pohanka Acura in Chantilly, VA. And had some dude come up to me saying "Thats a nice TSX you have there...". I was like umm Its a TL not a TSX and walked away. After that point I was like Imma leave Everything on the back!!!

Given that your car had the badges put on too high, I suggest you remove it. Debadge it regardless anyways.

Debadged is my vote. It's a preference thing though. Depends on the look you're going for. I don't think removing the badges makes your car ricey in any way. On the other hand, people really do confuse your car for a TSX. People always ask me what kind of Acura it is at tire shops and whatnot. It's going to be close to 50/50 here.

Why do you care what someone you don't know - who obviously isn't a car guy - thinks? He was on the Acura lot too which blows my mind. Obviously an idiot.

I'm still on the fence for this one. If you do debadge, keep the emblems for when it comes time to sell it and you need to put them back on.

i guess i should add that my badges are in a different place. they are higher for some reason. maybe the previous owner debadged and the deal screwed up when they replaced them.
Ive always like the black and chrome look so i do like have some chrome back there

I don't like that placement at all...I'd move them back to where they belong.
The chrome on black looks good...my 2 cents

I like the badges a lot but I am going to debadge eventually, not by choice... I live in NY, that type-s is definitely getting snatched.

F*^( the idiot that can't figure out this is a TL-S. Moron.

I like the clean look and I don't like Chrome. I think it also lets other AZine-types/modders know it's not "just another" TL/TL-S.

I'm for partially debadged . (old pic btw)

but yours look wrong where they're at. Take them off to move them and see if you like the look when they're off. If not, put em back on in the factory location.

I debadged my car, looks so much better. Just a funny story, when I got pulled over last month the cop wrote that my car was a Lexus on the ticket, I do have the Acura emblem still though, so that guy may have been stupid...
