Dealership point of purchase/service question

Hi,

I have been trying to negotiate the best deal for a new TL.

My question is, is the service better at the same dealership the car is purchased at? I am asking because the dealership close to home where I will most likely use for service for the life of the car quoted me a few hundred dollars more than a dealership over 60 miles away.

When is comes time for service, will I be treated as a red-headed stepchild if I didn't buy the car from the same place?

You shouldn't. Dealerships have different departments... the sales department is separate from the parts department, as well as the service department. The vehicle has a warantee that covers North America. The service guys will get paid from Acura no matter where you bring it...

I used to work for a dealership, and we were happy to do service for people if they didn't buy the car there... it still makes them money.

So to answer your question, you definately can buy the car one place and service it in another place.
